Hello bloggers! I thought I would show you one of the new sets that will be on the shows this week (starting today at 8am!) This is the Timeless Amour set from Heartfelt Creations. Isn't it gorgeous! I am a real heart lover and I use them all the time, not just for Valentine's Day either. This is a good sized heart set and it has beautiful matching stamps too! I started with a piece of white card and cut my heart out of the centre. I used the Floral embossing folder from Creative Expressions to emboss that piece once I removed the die cut. I extended the pattern to do the entire background. Now that left me with a white heart cut out that I saved to use on another project. I stamped one of the matching stamps on to blush card using a clear perfect medium pad. I heat embossed it with white powder for a soft finish. I lined up my die then cut the heart out of the blush card. I used the Tim Holtz markers to add a bit of colour to the flower and leaves, then used the distress pad in Spun Sugar to edge the images softly. Now the edge of this die actually cuts out apart from the inside heart giving you so many options. I wanted a tone on tone look for this so I glued the frilly edge back around the heart I coloured. I mounted my background over the heart with 3D foam pieces for dimension. I decided to keep it simple so I just cut two borders out of blush card using the edgeability dies. I mounted them on white strips so that I could easily add some foam pieces to raise them on my card. I finished the card with some flatback pearls on the borders and paper piercing around the edges. You could easily add a messy bow and a sentiment tag if you wanted it to be for a specific purpose. Finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 8 1/2" in size.

GM Sue - me again - thought I was in a parallel universe at 8am - saw Julia on the screen and thought strange - so I checked calender- yes its defintely 4th March today - checked your blog for show times - yes definitely 8am - thought I was going slightly mad for a bit - and then you and Dean appeared - hoorah! Normal service was resumed and I had not lost my grip of things afterall. Managed to get my hands on the Vintage Floret set before they disappeared and the detail embossing powders - enjoyed the shaving foam demo - haven't tried that one before but looks v. effective so will try. Looking forward to the 1pm show after I've done some household chores.

ReplyDeleteThank heavens it was, sort of - all the time that C&C have and then they foul up. Dean carried it off well, though.
You are far too lovely a person to say so, but guess you were seeeething!! I am and guess lots of others too - and yet again it appears they DO NOT HAVE ENOUUGH STOCK. It's all very well them being proud of early sell-outs but by now they should know their audience and plan properly.
I just watch you and then go buy elsewhere because they make me so mad and as well as that they should be able to get their prices much lower.
Don't mnind waiting awhile - never need the product immnediately, so do a bit of studied shopping.

Hello, this is my first time on your blog, I should have been on sooner, the cards and techniques are so inspiring, I'll have to get myself a heat gun and embossing powders :-) I really love the pin-pricking edge on the most recent card, is there any way to do this effectively without the special ruler?

Beautiful card Sue.Enjoyed the shows and seeing the foam technique as I have never seen this before. I already have the asters dies but must try and get the stamps for them.It was great to see you back on the tv.

This is so gorgeous Sue! Taped your shows so far so that I can watch them again. Loved the shaving foam idea so much that I bought some (26p from Sainsburys) together with a cheap wahshing up bowl (75p!) and guess what I'll be doing this afternoon? Lol!
