Twigs And Tweets

Hello everyone!  Today's card uses a set of new Spellbinders that were supposed to have been on my last shows, but had to be taken off at the last minute due to stock issues.  These are the new Jewel Flowers and Flourishes by Juliana Hudgins and they are lovely.  I started with a simple embossed background which used the Twigs and Tweets Embossibility folder (isn't that the cutest name!)  This is using the "tweets" side of the folder.  I stamped my sentiment on a green dotty paper in black archival and clear embossed it.  I cut that into a wide strip and added a vintage lace border to the top and bottom of the strip which were cut out of milk card.  I added some pearls along the border for interest and a bit of bling.  Next I picked a small floral patterned paper and covered it with self adhesive sticky paper and cut out my flowers.  I cut two each of the two different styles of larger flowers from this set.  I covered them with clear micro beads and assembled my flowers.  I added a large flatback pearl to the centres of both of them.    I cut out a couple of the swirls from this set and added them around my flowers top and bottom.  I glued the flowers into place to the side of my sentiment and pierced the edges to finish it off.  Just a really sweet simple card, not as fancy as some, but I still really like it and hope it appeal to you too.  All for now, Sue x
