Best Wishes

Hello there!  I didn't actually show this card on my last set of shows.  It was in with my stack of prepared demos and I forgot to put it out (I'm bad!).  It was scheduled to be demoed but so often there just isn't time to get in more than one demo because mine tend to be rather lengthy.   For this card, I started with a piece of decorative paper in the background (roughly 15 x 18cm)  I cut two of my Vintage Lace borders out of a very pale grey card.  I added two strips of gold on top so that I was able to add some mounting foam to the edge of them.  I used the Cosmic Shimmer silver PVA glue to add dots all the way down both strips.  I added these to the edges of my background.  Next I cut out the two largest sizes of Decorative Labels 27 in gold, giving me a frame.  This is a really interesting shape as it has some areas that are perfect for using for lacing ribbons through and also some areas that are cut that you can use to slip things under.  That is what I have done here.  I oriented the die so that it was placed on the diagonal in the centre of my card.  I used two of the smaller dies in the Decorative Labels one set to make another frame and I cut two of these pieces.  I tucked them in the top and bottom of my gold frame.  That left a bit that overlapped in the middle.  I used a piece of gold silky crush ribbon to weave through this overlapping section and out to the bottom of the card where I cut the end into a fork.  I added a double bow to the top of the card with a fancy button in the centre.  Lastly I stamped my sentiment again on pale grey card and cut a fancy framed tag out of gold card to show it off.  I mounted this piece in the centre of my focal element.  You can just see where the ribbon is pinched on either side of the sentiment through the opening in the frames.  I pierced the edges to finish it off.  I really like the way this one came out, I just wish my camera would show off the colours a bit better!  All for now, Sue x

  23. Sue,
I agree with all the comments from the other ladies.
You said in the blog "there just isn't time to get in more than one demo because mine tend to be rather lengthy".
Please DON'T change that, the detail you provide on the shows on how you make a card is what we all love to see.

  163. Hi this is somewhat of off topic but I was wanting
to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!

  180. Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year
old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.

There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched
her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is
entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
