Hi bloggers! I have been wanting to show this one as I absolutely adore these poinsettias in white. ( If you are looking for these dies, as I know they have been hard to come by recently, I just heard that Sam Poole has a load of stock on her website.) Unfortunately difficult to get a good photo in white, but I think you can see the detail enough in these (it does look a bit blue, but I assure you it is white). I cut all the layers except for the tiniest one for two poinsettias. I glued them together and offset each layer a bit. On the flower themselves I added some of our Cosmic Shimmer Iced Crystal Glitter Jewels. It photographs very pink but it is a sparkly white when you see it in real life, very snowy looking. I cut several of the single leaves and added them around the flowers. I had some pieces of floral wire that were covered in a white paper coating. I rolled them in cosmic shimmer dries clear glue and then poured micro beads over them and set aside to dry. Once dry, I wrapped them around a pencil for their curly cue shape and glued them around my poinsettias for interest. The background was stamped with my sentiment (in clear perfect medium) and silver embossed. Then I used the Bauble Tree Embossing folder and just did half of it so it just looks like an embossed flourish coming from my flowers, rather than an actual Christmas Tree embossed shape. I hope that makes sense? The actual Bauble Tree folder is very nice, but it needs to be able to be used for other things to be worthy of purchase in my book and this fills the bill for me. The only thing remaining was to pierce around the edge to finish it off. On another little note, I have had several emails asking about the coconut white card that I use (anytime you see white card, that is what I have used more than likely) I am trying to see if we can get enough stock to add it to my next set of shows. I will keep you updated on that. By the way, the dates have changed on my next set of shows too. It is now scheduled for a POTD on the 21st of Aug (rescheduled from a POTW on the 24th). I will keep you updated again closer to the time in case anything changes again. All for now, Sue x

GM Sue, well what can I say but wow! love the inventive use of the embossing folder and the curly cues - gota have a go with those. Can't wait for 21st Aug POTD - have marked it in my diary - will be saving my pennies for that no doubt. I am wondering why its changed froma POTW to a POTD -perhaps because we stripped C&C bare of their last POTW so quickly me thinks!......
