Good evening to all the blog readers! How's this for a ruffly card?! I was definitely having fun with the new edgeabilities here. I do like the look it gives though, kind of like a big petticoat to the card. I cut an extra black layer to go behind each layer to show them off and make them stand out a bit more. At the bottom of the card, I added a ruched layer of the American seam binding in chalk white for dimension. Loving the Bakers Twine here in the pastel aqua colour wrapped around the card. I used one of the new A4 sized masks (triple scallop) to emboss the top of the card and give it some interest. Again, I have used one of the smaller nesties for my sentiment and a faux nestie in black behind it. I finished off the card with a bow from the same seam binding and three organza roses in the new lt. blue shade. I hope you like it! All for now, Sue x
Your card is a dream. I love the colours and the bow with the flowers is so amazing. Great job!

hello Sue
ReplyDeleteWell yet another lovely card. I really like the way you do your flowers, I still haven't got the hang of them. Seeing this card is making me needing the border dies as I've yet to buy them. Will have to see what I have after pay day!!! LOL
Vanessa x
Lovely card, I really must have the confidence to use patterned paper more on my cards, you make it look so effortless. I seem to spend ages trying to match up papers and then run out of time to actually make anything, so good to get inspiration from you.
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous, beautiful colours and fab papers. Waiting in anticipation of my Edgeabilities to arrive. Hope you had a fantastic time at the weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Christine xx

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to use the black behind the
ReplyDeleteedgeabilities. I love the ruffled ribbon at the bottom too.
Hi Sue. Love this card, will definitely need to invest in some new dies - when I've finished paying for the last batch! lol. Tried to stop by at Ally Pally to say hello, but you were far too busy. Thanks for all the great demos.

ReplyDeleteI saw the edgeabilities, but they were a bit too expensive for me. They look so lovely don't they - love what you've done with them to show them off!
ReplyDeleteGot the A4 masks at AP - love them.
ReplyDeleteHope you've recovered from the weekend - I just need time now to sit and absorb your DVD!
Love the blue and white colours on this
Oh, this is soo cute.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous card
ReplyDeleteI never think to use patterned paper with my dies either.
ReplyDeleteAs usual, another stunning card, and the use of patterned card with dies gives added interest. I'm in Melbourne at the moment, and brought your DVD from home to watch and soak up the inspiration, without being interuppted ;-)xxx

I love blue and white cards although all white is my favourite. I just love this card. I hope that the embossing sheet that you have used is going to be made in the smaller standard size as I don't have a Grand Calibur I think they look like clouds. I could buy an A4 and cut it down I suppose?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, fab details. Hugs,moni
