Wish You Were Here

Hello fellow crafters!  It's time to relax on the beach again today! LOL  I started today's card by embossing a piece of white card with the Basketweave embossing folder.  Next, I cut the Fine Postage Stamp Oval die in white and added it to the background with mounting foam.  From the Beach Accessories die set, I cut the beach towel in white then added raspberry and bright yellow stripes to it by cutting strips and gluing them onto the white towel.  I added a beach bag and sunglasses to the beach towel and a few seashells below it.  I cut the Beach Bather with the floral swimsuit out of milk card.  I used markers to colour her suit.  I cut the die two more times, just using a small piece of bright yellow card for the hat.  I hand cut around the hat and glued it to the beach bather, then cut just the centre of the hat and added it with mounting foam for a 3D look.  I cut a palm tree from the Palm Beach die set and glued it next to the towel. I cut the large sun and inked the edges with Spiced Marmalade distress ink then glued it to the corner.  I added a white frame around using the Double Stitched Squares.  I cut the Wish You Were here sentiment in black then glued it to the shadow backing piece which was cut in white.  I added it below the scene with mounting foam.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8"  in size.  All for now Sue x

  8. It's supposed to be summer here but we only get a day or so at a time which doesn't encourage you to whip out the beachwear. Another lovely card Sue. WakeyL

  11. Fabulous card. I am staying at the seaside just now but it’s not warm enough to sit out on the beach like that. 😂
