Congratulations on Your New Home

Hello bloggers!  I started today's card by selecting some decorative paper to give the look of wallpaper around the window.  The paper came from the A Gingham Christmas Paper Pad by Sam Poole.  I cut some white card for the bottom of the background and scored it to look like a white wood base.  I cut a couple of thin strips of white card to use as a border between them.  Next I cut the Window die out of tan card and added mounting foam to the back of it.  I  cut a piece of white card the same size as the window to use for the background in the window.  I cut two clouds from the Twinkle Twinkle Clouds and Stars die set and added them in the upper right corner.  From the Swing Tree die set, I cut two trees out of tan card and added them to the left side of the window.  In front of the trees, I added a few sunflowers in the corner from the Autumn Scene die set and also a basket of apples.  I used some Tea Dye distress ink on the basket before filling it with apples.  I cut a small piece of red card to glue the apples to after I added some green leaves and stems to them then glued them to the back of the basket.  I added the window die over the top and added it to the top of the card.  I cut the Congratulations On Your new Home sentiment in tan and glued it to the shadow backing piece which I cut in white.  I added it below the window with mounting foam.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  9 1/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x
