To You & Yours

Hi there my crafty friends!  For today's card, I used the card that I had cut some large trees from and I attached it to a piece of white card.  I used it as a mask and inked through with Forest Moss and Crushed Olive distress inks.  I inked the area below the trees to create a hill.  I covered the piece with some sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing paper off and coated it with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  I cut the Corner Cottage out of arctic blue card.  I added a grey roof, door, windows and awnings to it and added it to the scene with mounting foam.  I cut some small trees and added them around the cottage.  I cut the To You & Yours sentiment in black and glued it to the top corner of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  9"  in size.

All for now, Sue x

  1. Good morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, another beautiful creation and sentiment on this card, lots of trees of multiple colours, just like a foret in the background, brilliant.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

A great post with a North American feel for me. Where something usually has a quaint British look this is a bit of the reverse and feels American or Canadian wilderness.

  7. Hi Sue. I love the feel of this card, it reminds me of a fairy tale cottage in the middle of a forest - how cute.

  8. Good Morning Sue and all that visit today. When I first opened up today and saw your sample ... I thought like June ... A house in a forest ... But then I looked again and I saw that it reminded me of a very old story called Hiedy, about a little girl who lived in a cottage in the mountains with her grandfather. Ohhh Sue you took me way back on memory lane with this lovely card today. Thankyou for those memories.
Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today. Please stay safe and well 🙏
