Sending Love & Hugs
Good Sunday morning all! I decided to share this card with you today because it was made from the leftovers from yesterday's card! I cut a piece of white card and embossed it with the Padded Quilt embossing folder. Next, I used the butterflies that were cut from yesterday's card so you can see the strips of colour from that background in each of the butterflies. I attached them to the card by gluing just the bodies of the butterflies and leaving the wings free and bent upward slightly. I cut the Sending Love & Hugs die in black and glued it to the lower corner of the card. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 8" in size.

ReplyDeleteMorning Sue. I thought this card looked familiar and then you told us it was made from the cut outs from yesterday's card. Like Ann Topp, I am also still trying to find this embossing folder. I don't know whether Creative Expression are likely to get it back in stock.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this card with us.

Hi Sue, so sorry I missed yesterday. I do love your cards made from scraps and the butterflies on the sparkled background were beautiful. Here we are again today proving that you waste nothing by using the 'left over' butterflies on the gorgeous embossing folder (that so many of us wish we could get our hands on) and making another stunning card.
ReplyDeleteFrances
Well done with reducing the waste, love the leftover butterflies on your elegant embossed background!
