Just Wanted To Say Hello
Hello crafters! I cut the largest two sizes of the Stained Glass Rectangles in white and matted them. Using the Double Pierced Circles, I cut two thin white frames. I added mounting foam to the backs of both of them and added them in opposite corners of the card. I cut two birds from the Wild Birds die set out of tan card. I used Festive Berries Distress Oxide ink and sponged it on to their bellies. I used Gathered Twig ink and sponged it around the head, wings and tails of the birds. I cut two twigs and a nest from the Wild Bird set in tan card. I glued one of the twigs across the upper frame, then added the bird and nest with eggs. I glued the other twig going the opposite direction in the lower frame. I added the other bird to it. Using the Fabulous Foliage die set, I added a variety of foliage around both birds. I cut the Just Wanted To Say Hello sentiment in red and added it to the upper right and lower left corner of the card. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8 1/2" in size.

Good morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, another really gorgeous card, I have just been able to get the stained glass layering dies so I can have a play, the birds in the close up look absolutely amazing, the detail is so stunning. I am going to have a play with this one. I agree would make a gorgeous Christmas card.
ReplyDeleteStay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
Hi Sue. I thought, for a moment, that you had started showing Christmas cards because of the robins. But then when I looked more closely and read your description, I realised that this could be for any occasion. Love all the colouring. You have made the birds look so realistic.

Morning Sue, beautiful card, at first glance I thought it was a Christmas card until I saw the sentiment. I have a little robin who follows me round the garden when I am digging so she can pick up the grubs for her chicks. Love Jean xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, I really liked this card when you launched the dies and your close-up pictures show just how much detail you put into the Wild Birds and Fabulous Foliage. I haven't seen 'my' robin for a few days, I hope he is alright but I do now have a couple of bluetits instead.
