For A Special Friend
Hello bloggers! I embossed a piece of white card with the Padded Quilt embossing folder. I cut the Looped Ovals die in white an added it to the background with mounting foam. I used a smoothie and added some Tumbled Glass distress ink towards the top of it. Using the Double Stitched Ovals, I cut a thin white frame and added it to the Looped Ovals with mounting foam, showing the blue inked area in the top. Using the Floral Medley die set, I cut a variety of flowers in different sizes and colours. I used lilac, soft lavender and heather card for the flowers. I cut green stems and leaves and assembled the flowers all together. I added them into the frame to create a sort of wildflower field. Using the Bountiful Butterflies, I cut two of them out of black card with a piece of white card underneath. I coloured the white card and glued the butterfly dies on top then added them inside the frame. I cut the For A Special Friend sentiment in black and added it on to a white shadow backing piece then attached it below the frame with mounting foam. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x 8 1/4" in size.

Hi Sue. What a lovely vision of summer today with this card. It's a pity the same can't be said for the view outside my window today. There are so many pretty flowers they look as though they are bursting out of the frame.
