All Geared Up To Celebrate

Hello there my crafty friends!  I used the Steampunk Gears Stencil and embossed the design into a piece of milk card.  I used Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress inks.  I sponged the Tea Dye around the edges of the card, working towards the centre with the Antique Linen ink.  I cut the Cog border from the Assorted Tool Border die set out of Brushed Silver card four times.  I glued them around the edge of the card.  I cut the Vintage convertible from The Vintage Car die set out of Cobalt Blue card.  I used a fine tipped felt marker to add the detail to the car and a black and silver marker to colour the tyres and headlights.  I added some white card behind the windscreen and added the car to the card with mounting foam.  I cut the All Geared Up To Celebrate out of cobalt card and glued it to a white shadow backing piece.  I added it above the car with mounting foam.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8"   in size.

 All for now, Sue x

  2. Good morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, such a fabulous sample, I have these dies so can make this one easily, perfect for so many occasions, not necessarily for a male card. I have an image in my head of a pink car driving along the highway.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

A great post with dies that can be used for many occasions and any gender. Also find these so useful for mixed media projects.

  13. Great card with the lovely vintage car and cogs
I'm sorry I didnt post comments on your new Christmas die launch but as I only make cards for family and friends I felt I wouldn't be a worthy winner of the dies and it would be better for someone who would use the dies adequately to have a better chance to win them Having! Having said that the collection is fabulous my favourites are the snowflake ribbon and Crystal Kaleidoscope
