Birthday Wishes
Hello bloggers! I started this pretty cover plate card by cutting the Wild Rose Cover Plate with a piece of black card on top of a piece of white card. I used the white card to colour all the leaves. I then glued the black die cut on top. I cut the die again using a piece of arctic blue card. I used the fall away pieces from the flowers so I could paper piece them back into the die cu. However, before paper piecing any of the pieces, I used a smoothie with Tumbled Glass ink and I inked the inside edge of the flower petals then paper pieced them back into place. I matted it with white card. I cut another piece of white card and used a scoring tool to score small lines into it, then I added it to a larger piece of arctic blue card. I glued a thin black strip between the join area and added the focal element with mounting foam. I cut the Birthday Wishes sentiment in black and glued it to a white shadow backing piece and added it below the flowers. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 8 1/4" in size.

ReplyDeleteGood Morning Sue and all that visit this morning.
ReplyDeleteI like this one Sue ... But ... In my opinion the gap of white in the middle of the flowers seems to be a little bare. Maybe a small buttefly or some colour even would make the difference. Only my opinion mind. Others may find this appropriate for what they are looking for. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today. Please stay safe and well everyone 🙏.
