Stained Glass Birthday

Hello bloggers!  I started today's card by covering a piece of card with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing paper off and coated it randomly with assorted Glitterbitz.  I used Ocean Spray, Rose Copper, Sea Green, Turquoise, Silver Chrome and Lavender Glitterbitz on the background.  I used the Double Stitched Rectangles and made a multi-layered frame using a wider white base and a thinner black frame on top.  I added it over the background with mounting foam. Next I cut the middle die from the Stained Glass Birthday die in white.  I cut the centre Birthday  die with a piece of black card on top and a piece of white card underneath it.  I used the white card to colour the image with markers.  I glued the black die cut on top of it and seated it in the middle of the card.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8"  in size.  All for now Sue x

  19. Hi Sue

Lovely card today, love the sparkle.

Heather T and ladies who are thinking about Steph. I contacted Steph yesterday and she is still incredibly sad over the loss of her beautiful and very much loved fur baby Cassie. She's feeling so very low and is finding it very difficult to come to terms with her loss of her beautiful companion. I miss her comments every day here on Sue's blog and really look forward to her return, but it's going to take time and lots of gentle hugs.

    Love & Hugs Steph

  20. Hi Sue, I love the colours and sparkle of this card and it doesn't need a sentiment as the stained glass die says it all.

Tina - thank you so much for telling us about Steph. We do miss her comments and I hope she knows that we are all thinking of her and sending virtual hugs. The loss of a much loved pet can be as traumatic as the loss of a human and should never be down-played.
