Merry Christmas
Hi there my crafty friends! For today's card, I started with a piece of white card. I cut two thin strips of antique gold card and matted them om to a wider black strip then glued them to the sides of the background. I cut the Stained Glass Poinsettia outer frame in both antique gold and black card. I offset the black die cut behind the gold one. I cut the centre die out of black and matted it with a piece of white card. I attached this piece to the outer decorative frame. I cut the Poinsettia die in white and added a piece of clear acetate to the back. I added glue to the sections and filled it in with polished silk glitters, starting with the darkest colours first. I let it dry overnight then added it to the centre of the card. I cut the Merry Christmas out of the Christmas Wordie sheets and added it above the focal element. The card was completed with white, black and gold mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x

The mix of black and gold is perfect for an elegant festive card and the gold silk glitter is sheer elegance that won't ever shed but bring luxury to any project. I'd love several of this design all with a splash of beautiful antique gold, a touch of black to highlight then all the reds and greens and purples the polished glitter has to offer, that would be my perfect festive season (along with good health of course) Crafty Heather hope today sees you feeling slightly better than yesterday and our thoughts make you stronger each day xxx
Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, amazing, love every aspect of this sample, I think these types of cards are a real winner this Christmas, lots of gold, black, reds, so many all who work in harmony with one another.

Hi Sue. I absolutely love the colour scheme of this card. It just goes to show that you don't have to use traditional Christmas colours to make a stunning Christmas card.
