Get Well
Hello all! I started this very clean and simple card by inking the background with Distress inks. I started at the top with Blueprint Sketch, then in blocks of colour I added Iced Spruce then Salty Ocean then repeated the pattern. I used a heat tool to dry the ink, then I taped the Floral Swirl Slimline Stencil over the background and used Clear Texture Paste through the stencil with a plastic palette knife. I set it aside to dry thoroughly. I removed the stencil, then added a white frame using the Slimline Rectangle Frame over the background using mounting foam. I cut a strip of white vellum and glued the Get Well sentiment cut in black on it. I tucked the left side under the frame and cut the right side into a fork. I used the Butterfly Delights and cut three butterflies in white and glued them inside the frame. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 5" x 9" in size. All for now, Sue x

Love the colour selection. I suppose if you don't have the clear past that running the card with the stencil through as though it was an embossing folder might give it the raise but not the sheen. WakeyL

Hi Sue. I am really surprised to see how differently the clear texture paste brings out the colours below and makes a really interesting background for such a pretty card.
A beautiful clean and simple card. Gorgeous colours with pretty butterflies. It would make anyone smile who is not feeling well. Or for any other occasion with a different sentiment.
