Sending Lots Of Happiness
Hello all! I had a bit of a play with this background. I started with a piece of white card and randomly tore pieces of white tissue paper and added them with glue. Unfortunately the picture doesn't show it very well since it is white, but I rather liked the results in person. I cut the Moonflower Floral Panel die in green and raspberry card. I nipped the pink flowers out and glued them on to the green die cut. I used a white pencil to add some accents and medium micro beads in the centre of the largest flower. I cut a white backing piece with a sticky adhesive sheet added to it, then attached the floral panel and glittered it with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz. I added it to the white frame in the set and attached it to the left side of the card. I cut one of the foliage panels in green then nipped the leaves out of the frame and used them at the side of the floral panel. I cut the Sending Lots Of Happiness sentiment in black and glued it to the top of the card. The card was completed with raspberry, black and white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x
Morning Sue.
ReplyDeleteA very pretty card the colour is so pretty
Thank you.
Take care and have fun Kitty.
ReplyDeleteCan't quite see the tissue, but I imagine it gives
a soft look. The pop of colour is lovely.
Stay safe,

Hi Sue and all that visit. I can make out the outline your background and it's given the effect you were obviously reaching for, it's pretty and very subtle without detracting from dew like moonflower or the rest of the design, it's beautiful, it's one that should be displayed in a glass fronted frame, it's a Sue Wilson special xxx
ReplyDeleteStay well, keep safe, happy Friday xxx
Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteA stunning card. I love the background done with tissue. One I will soon be trying. The panel die is lovely and the flowers are a beautiful colour.

Hello Sue
ReplyDeleteI have fallen for the moon flower it is so pretty. The tissue background is so different. Take care everyone and enjoy your Friday.
Morning Sue, another beauty. Your background technique reminds me of some art sessions done in school and was a good way of using up all the crumpled scraps of tissue, but very effective too.
ReplyDeleteMust get my micro beads out. I'd almost forgotten about them.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, what a novel idea using pieces of tissue paper, you can just make it out on the close ups, will have a try of that. The flowers, leaves, frame and blitz certainly finish the card off with the sentiment in black, perfect.
ReplyDeleteStay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
