Hello crafters! I picked a piece of Arctic Blue card as the background and embossed it with the Rain Drops embossing folder. I cut the Cottage Shaped Card die out of both Soft Salmon card and Coral card. I nipped away the roof, door, round window and steps on the coral die cut and glued them to the soft salmon base. I cut the dormer windows out of the base, then added them back on top of the roof. I added a white backing piece then glued it to the background. I cut two pots and topiaries an assembled them and added them around the front door. I cut the Majestic Tree die out of chestnut card for the trunk and green card for the top of the tree. I lifted all the leaves and added the tree next to the house. I cut two clouds from the Twinkle Twinkle Clouds and Stars die set and added them to the sky. I cut the Here's To New Beginnings out of coral and black card, shadowed it and added it to the upper corner of the card. I completed the card with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x 9 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x
Morning Sue.
ReplyDeleteA lovely card thank you.
Take care and have fun Kitty.
Ohhh I adore this concept and the sentiment is just adorable. My mind is going round in circles and my imagination is about to go into orbit thinking of the 'stories' with all the extra dies for the garden and allotment. I fell in love with the samples of your houses/cottages at launch and I have to say this - I really NEED these house/cottage dies.
ReplyDeleteSending love to all our friends that I see every day and hope you're staying well and keeping safe xxx ๐ท๐ท

Good Morning Sue. This is a lovely card and I am sure that people with a new home would really appreciate it. The work that has gone into it has really been thought out. But ... Unfortunately Sue it's not for me. I am so sorry ... But these are cards that I would not normally make. Hope I have not offended anyone. That's only my opinion. Thankyou Sue.
ReplyDeleteSending hugs ๐ค and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.

Morning Sue and all! I love your cottage dies - and this card is gorgeous with its 2 tone cottage and that amazing tree! If I could make a request, it would be for more accessory dies that include the window frames, so that these could be cut separately in contrasting colours rather than having to nip them out individually from a different background - it would save so much time! Thank you Sue - Colleen x
