Happy Valentine's Day
Hello bloggers! Starting with a piece of white card, I sprinkled Groovy Grape and Beyond Blue Pixie Sparkles all over the card. I spritzed it with water, then covered it with a piece of cling film and scrunched it a bit to leave lines in the background. I set it aside to dry overnight, then removed the cling film the next day to reveal this pretty background. I used the Lace Heart Stampcut die and inked it with a Black Archival ink pad, then ran it through the die cutting machine to stamp and cut it. I did this three times. I used Distress Markers to colour the hearts (Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac and Dusty Concord). I added the hearts with mounting foam in a diagonal line across the card. I cut the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment in both black and white card and used the white one as the shadow behind it. I glued it in the lower corner of the card. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

How beautiful, my favourite background technique, I must buy some sparkles to add to my 'non sparkles' I keep promising myself a few shakers, just do it silly woman!!
ReplyDeleteThose hearts are so precious they look so ornate, I would imagine you have many many numerous valentine samples ready to showcase in your folders so it's OK to showcase this at the start of 2022 xx

But the crowning glory ... as Owlish already said ... are those hearts. Yes they do look like Diamante but Lace Diamantes and I love them. Thankyou Sue.

Well it’s been ages - haven’t been on here since 22nd October! Won’t bore you with the details but been poorly and very much out of action. So hello all you lovely Wilsonettes - so glad to be back x
I love this card. I do have a bit of a soft spot for blue and anything pixie is always going to rock my boat. Your lace heart is beautiful and is
showcased perfectly on that gorgeous background. I have a feeling we’re going to see a few more Valentines cards over the coming weeks before the day itself and if they’re all as fabulous as this one I cant wait x
