You Are Close To My Heart
Hi bloggers! I started by embossing a piece of white card with the Fanciful Flowers embossing folder. Next I selected a piece of watercolour card from my stash that I had made some time ago. I used Turquoise Cascade, Lime Sherbet and Lilac Sapphire watercolour inks on the card to create it. I cut the leafy panel from the Flowering Dogwood Floral Panel die set and cut it in black. I backed it with a piece of the watercolour card and added it to the left side of the card. Using the Jasmine die set, I cut enough flowers from the leftover watercolour card to create three flowers. I added them to the right hand corner and accented them with Lace Edged Leaves cut in white. I cut the You Are Close To My Heart sentiment in black and added it to the embossed background. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x
Hi Sue. The Dogwood panel stands out beautifully, the black over the watercolours almost looks like velvet if that makes sense if not just ignore me lol. The only reason for getting up whilst it's still dark is the inspiration you give us. Love to you and all the pop in xxx

Good Morning Sue. I simply love this card. The water colour panel is beautiful. Do you have a tutorial on this. I would love to have a go. You always make things seem so easy and always with fabulous results. I can see me in my craft space ... water all over the place scraps of discarded waste. I remember what it was like when I started with the pixie powders. Ohhhh dear... do I want to go back there. YES if my work turns out like yours. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.

This is a lovely way to showcase the floral panel. Thank you for the inspiration. Hugs, Judy Hollers from NC
ReplyDeleteHi Sue Beautiful card the floral panel looks stunning on the inky background it reminds me of flocked wallpaper
ReplyDeleteSo simple but so striking Sue!!
ReplyDeleteLove the colours of the inks you have used. To start with I thought you had used black waste from the die on a watercolour background. It would work both ways. If I had the inks it would be one to emulate as I have & love the panel Dies. Thank you Sue
