Merry Christmas

Hello crafters!  I am sort of in love with the colours of this card, hope you like it too!  I started with a piece of white card and covered it with Midnight Blue Pixie Powders.  Once dry, I used the Classic Poinsettia stamp and stamped it all over the background with a clear Perfect Medium Pad.  I sprinkled Detail Gold Embossing Powder all over, tapped off the extra and then heat embossed it.  Using the Classic Poinsettia die, I cut enough to make three different sized flowers.  I used the clear Perfect Medium pad along the edges of the flowers, then heat embossed them with gold powder before assembling the flowers.  I added them in a cluster in the lower left corner, then added white and gold Evergreen Branches as accents.  I cut the Merry bold word in Antique Gold, Gold Mirror and white card.  I used the gold mirror card as an offset shadow behind the antique gold die cut then added a third shadow with the white die cut. .  I attached it to the card with mounting foam, then stamped the rest of the sentiment.  I used the tag from the set to cut it out and added it with mounting foam below the word Merry.  The card was completed with white and gold mats and layers.   The finished dimensions are  7"  x  9"   in size.  All for now,  Sue x

  2. Hi Sue today's the day.

This must be one of the most adorable, beautiful 'grown up' samples from your festive collection. The blue background shows your stamping so beautifully and the way you've matched it up with the poinsettia die just puts your signature all over this stunning inspiration. Sending love to you both and all that pop in. To our friends that have felt low and unwell hopefully this is the start of a better week xxx

  22. Hi Sue and everyone what a lovely festive card you have made today. I rarely put gold with blue, usually I go with blue and silver but I'm loving the look you've achieved here. The extra detail on the flowers looks beautiful as does the triple layered sentiment. A beautiful sample Sue, thank you.

  25. Hi Sue, not sure where my brain is these days, I neglected to leave a comment on yesterday's very pretty card, I love it. Today's offering is gorgeous; I love the stamped background, the treatment of the poinsettias and the mix of white and gold evergreen leaves which all together make a beautiful card.
I will endeavour not to go AWOL again - at least this week :-)
