Tis The Season To Sparkle
Hello crafters! I used the sweet Christmas Lights 3D embossing folder for the background. Next I used a piece of pretty striped paper from my stash and cut it on the diagonal, then glued it to the bottom part of the embossed background. I used the Poinsettia Stampcuts die and inked it with Black Archival ink then ran it through the machine to stamp and cut it out. I did this three times. I coloured each of the poinsettias with Distress markers (Festive Berries, Crushed Olive and Mustard Seed). Once coloued, I used a clear Perfect Medium pad to ink the entire flower and then coated them with clear detail embossing powder and heated them to melt it. I did each one of the flowers this way and repeated the process three times to build up the clear glossy layer on top. (You could use ultra thick embossing crystals to achieve the same look, I just didn't have any on hand) I attached the flowers across the diagonal of the decorative paper, then cut green leaves from the Pine and Holly Spray die set to add as accents. I cut the Tis The Season To Sparkle die in red twice. I glued them together then glued it in the upper part of the card. I completed the card with white and Ruby Red mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x
Morning Sue.

Morning Sue, such a stunning Festive card, love the poinsettias. Gives me the motivation to get going on my festive cards. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx
ReplyDeleteOh happy Tuesday Sue and everyone, what a stunning alarm call lol this has your name all over it Sue, from the beautiful delightful folder to your amazing stampcut designer poinsettia everything is perfection. It's weird for us up north to have the extent of heat we are having right now, it's just so odd to compliment an amazing festive card whilst melting lol so yes we get it when you tell us about designing and making your festive collection inspirational samples in the middle of the Floridian summer, next, you need to design a way of perching in a pool whilst doing the above to help keep us cool in the process. Wherever you're commenting from today, stay well, keep cool and stay safe xxx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, such a pretty card, I love the stampcut poinsettias, but hadn't thought of the enamel on the top, and as a coincidence I purchased some of the thick enamel last week so got to have a go at this process.
