Fantastic Friend
Hi bloggers! I created the background for this card to start. I used the Pearlescent Watercolour inks all over the card then added a piece of cling film over the top and scrunched it and allowed it to dry like that. The colours I used were Red Sunset and Golden Sunrise. Once dry, I removed the cling film. I cut two of the Magnolia Corners in white and glued them in opposite corners. I cut several of the extra flowers from the die set out of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet added to it. I glittered all the flowers with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz before assembling them and then glued them to the two corners. I cut the Friend die out of a leftover piece of the background card, added a black offset shadow then glued it to the white shadow piece. I glued it to the centre of the card then stamped the two sentiments to go with it. I cut them out with the tag die from the set then added them in opposite corners around the die cut sentiment. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are7 1/2" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now. Sue x
Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a stunner today the colouring of the background rinds me of the sun on a tropical island, and the way you have done the Friend sentiment, well I would never have thought of doing 3 layers but it looks fabulous I must try this myself.

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday everyone x
What a glorious card - the colours are like a magnificent sunset. The magnolia corners in white provide the perfect contrast to that wonderful blaze of colour x
I am heading up North shortly to Newcastle. My mam is having a hip operation so am going to stay to help her whilst she recovers. I will be away for a month and a lack of internet means I will be absent and not commenting. I will miss my daily ‘Sue fix’. The temperature up there is usually a good few degrees lower than here in sunny 27 degree Croydon so I am looking forward to that (and seeing mam and dad obviously)!
