Sending Love & Hugs
Hello there my crafty friends! This is one of the cards that I made when I was trying out the newest Vintage coloured Matt Chalk Polishes. I started with a piece of white card and coated it with the Opulent Olive Matt Chalk Polish. Next I embossed it with the Graduated Dots embossing folder. Using the Sky Blue Matt Chalk Polish, I went over the top of the embossing, just lightly picking up the dots with the blue colour to make them stand out more. I made a white multi-layered frame using the Double Stitched Squares and added it with mounting foam over the embossed background. I added a smaller white frame to the centre. I cut the Sending Love & Hugs die in both white and black and shadowed it, then glued it to the centre of the card. Using the Striped Nasturtium die, I cut three flowers all with a white base and a black striped piece added on top. I attached the flowers in opposite corners and accented them with white Lace Edged Leaves. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size.
Morning Sue.

Take care stay safe and have fun Kitty.
Morning Sue, a very pretty card this morning, that shade of green is lovely. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. This is a real Sue Wilson sample full of inspiration and ideas. Even if we dont have the exact collection of dies it's easy enough for us to use what we have in our crafty stash. I'm not usually a lover of green, green sweets were also a no no when I was centuries younger lol but this shade of green is quite nice isn't it? I do love those flowers some of my favourites and my go to flower dies on more than a few occasions. So I'll send my love to all and wish you all good luck for later. Have a good day. XXX
ReplyDeleteJUNE H. White for own choice of colour or various shades of blue xx

ReplyDeleteHi Sue and everyone, a very pretty card, definitely a classic Sue style. I wasn't sure at first if the dots were embossed or debossed, the extra colour really makes them stand out.
ReplyDeleteAs with Steph, im not usually a green lover either, but I used to love green sweets, hated orange and yellow ones haha. However the green is growing on me, the more I look at your card Sue. Love the flowers too, the two colours really make them pop.
Hugs to anyone needing one today and good luck to everyone for later.

ReplyDeleteI don’t just like this card! I really really like it. The embossing stands out with the added finish and the touch of black is just enough to add interest. The flowers are a favorite and are perfect without overwhelming it. I’m not a big fan of the color green but it adds an almost peaceful feel to the card and I really like it.
