Hi bloggers! I thought I would share a card that I made with one of our new embossing folder designs! I started by embossing a piece of white card with the new
Swirling Frame embossing folder. Next I cut the
Priscella die out of white and black, using the black die cut as an offset shadow. I backed the die with
Blue Dusk card. I used the
Double Pierced Rectangles and cut a thin frame in white and added a white backing to it. I layered it up in the centre of the
Priscella die cut. I cut the
Noble Thanks sentiment out of Blue Dusk and black card, shadowed it and glued it into the frame. I cut two
Cosmos Flowers, using a white base and a blue dusk outline and added them in opposite corners with white leaves. The card was completed with white, black and blue dusk mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now. Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh wow I am liking this swirly frame background and also that you are show us the use of some of the older dies etc, that is so very useful, please continue to do this Sue, not only does it remind of us what we have, it reminds us of what we can do with them whilst still incorporating it with new things.

ReplyDeleteOh Sue what a beautiful way to start a new week. These kind of designs take me back at least 10years when the main focal was a beautiful central die along with a lovely luxurious bow finished off with your signature stick pins, we now have the new folders taking centre stage and yet again this is one I'd really love to own, it shows that you dont need many tools to make someone smile with an outstanding card for any occasion.

I am really liking the embossing folder used for this card. Everytime I see die cuts layered with black behind the white, I think I need to try that, then when I have time to craft I forget to! Going to make that a priority.
