Hi crafters! I went back into my craft stash for the background on today's card. I decided on a pixie powder background that used
Scarlet Mist and Burnt Orange Pixie Powders. Next I cut the
You've Never More Than A Thought Away die and cut it in both white and black card. I added the black die cut behind the white one as an offset shadow, then glued it to the pixied background. Next I made a multi-layered white frame using the
Double Stitched Rectangles dies. I added it with mounting foam over the background. I used some of the leftover pixied card and cut two
Cosmos Flower dies out of it. I assembled the flowers and put them in the lower corner of the frame. I cut the
Magnolia Corner in white and nipped it apart and used it as accents around the flowers. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 7 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x

ReplyDeleteLook at those stunning colours. The full design is absolutely gorgeous Sue, what a way to start our day in the uk and a lovely way for Muriel and co to enjoy their glass of wine lol. We often mention how we'd love to make the exact same background but as we all know we can use the exact same colour pixies but get something totally different that's why it's such a magical medium. The sentiment comes back to you and to all our blog family in all corners of the world xxx

What I love about pixie powders is that every time you use them you get a unique effect that helps you to create a unique card even you are using same sentiment, frames, embellishments for each card. And each recipient will feel special. This is a perfect card that you can send with or without a specific reason, just to let others know that they are not alone in these dark times and they are always in your thoughts no matter how far away they are.

“You’re Never More Than a Thought Away” is such an important sentiment for to let others know they aren’t alone in these worrisome times. I like the softness of your Pixie Powder created background and the floral die cut adds interest and texture. I’m always a big fan of the multi frames.
