Thinking Of You

Hi bloggers!  I am still struggling a bit with this new Blogger and finally gave up trying to move my text to the top line and stagger my pics like I prefer to do, it just wasn't behaving!  I am determined to keep at it, but I do think I have a few bald spots from pulling my hair out! Rant over and onto the card!  I started with the Martha Background and cut it in white and black.  I used the black as an offset shadow behind then added a Ruby Red backing to it.  Using the Double Stitched Rectangles, I cut a multi-layered frame with a wider white frame on the bottom and a thinner black frame added on top.  I added it over the background with foam.  Next I cut the Joanie die, also in white and black and added a red backing to it too.  I stamped my sentiment and cut a small circular frame using the Double Stitched Circles.  I added it over the sentiment with foam, then trimmed away the excess card.  I added it to the centre of the Joanie die with foam.  I cut two small red flowers from the Blossom Patch die set and glued them to the circular frame.  The card was completed with white, black and red mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  35. Hi Sue, definitely a case of de ja vu for me today. When I saw this card earlier I knew that I had made it (with the omission of the black shadow, sorry) when I bought the dies some time ago after seeing it on the blog. I did have to check my records though for confirmation! I think that tells you that I really like it.

  49. No one does dies like our Sue. This card just really appeals to me. I am not very good at looking at two unrelated dies and thinking of how fabulous they will compliment each other. Inspiration comes in large quantity on this blog. Thank you.
