Have A Magical Day

Hi bloggers!  I started today's card by pulling out one of the new Pearl Opal Polishes.  On white card they look like a mother of pearl finish like this.  I used the Red Pearl Opaal Polish across a piece of white card.  I allowed it to dry thoroughly and then used the Rose Bed embossing folder.  I embossed the wrong side by accident but I decided to go ahead and use the debossed side on it.  I used the Double Stitched Rectangles and made a white frame and added it with foam mounting tape.  Next I cut two of the Magnolia Corner die out of Khaki card.  I used the extra flowers from the die and cut them out of a leftover piece of the opal polish card (I always say too make more than you need!)  I made six dimensional flowers  and glued them over the flower areas in the two corners, then glued the corners on to opposite sides of the frame.  I used the Have A Magical Day sentiment cut out of Old Rose card and glued it in the centre of the frame.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now. Sue x

  4. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, absolutely beautiful creation, love the pearl opal polish, looks amazing, I have some of those and the difference on black card compared to white is fabulous. Happy accident with the embossing on wrong side but if you hadn't mentioned it I would have thought that it was just another way of embossing, I like it.

Hope you are all keeping well over the pond, we hear things on the news which is so frightening, such a horrible pandemic.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

    What a gorgeous card Sue.
I wonder if you said "Oh dear me" when you realised you had made a mistake (lol) and how clever of you to leave it as the whole card is beautiful.
    Have a good day.
    Thank you Sue.

  16. A beautiful card. I was surprised when you said the leaves were cut out of Kharki card as they looked black on my screen! I’m glad I’m not the only one who embosses the wrong side, but I like you I still use the card, just gives a different effect! Thank you Sue.

  18. Good Morning Sue. Oh what a lovely creation.... I am happy to say I have all these dies in my stash... And I love the sentiment ...I use this one on a regular basis for all ossasions. WHERE IS THE MISTAKE... and... Is there a right or wrong side to an embossing folder??. I often use the debossed side as I think it has a softer look. And I don't think anyone would have known if you had not said . Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them this morning.Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.

    PLEASE STAY SAFE EVERYONE 🙏 🙏 🙏

Gorgeous design. Loving the sheen and color from the Red Opal Polish on the white card. There is a rose, in real life, that has this coloring, but I can not remember the name of the rose. I used it a lot for bridal bouquets when I was an active florist. The debossed side of this Rose Bed Embossing Folder is just as lovely as the regular embossed side. I have embossed the other side of card more than once. It happens. Thanks for the inspiration today. Hugs
