Especially For You

Hi there my crafty friends!  I have been playing with the new Opal Blaze products.  They are designed to be used on dark coloured card.  I used them here on black card by adding a little bit of all the seven colours of the Opal Blaze on to a piece of black card.  When you tilt the card, the colours of the Opal Blaze change colours.  I decided to use the Paulette Background to cut into the card.  I cut another Paulette die out of whitre card and used it as an offset shadow behind the black die cut.  Next I used the Paulette Edgers to cut three pieces of decorative card out of white and added it on top of the background in the matching areas.  I backed the entire piece with black card, then made a multi-layered frame using the Double Stitched Rectangles out of white card and attached it over the background.  I cut a wide piece of vellum and attached it in the middle of the background from side to side.  I cut the Especially For You sentiment out of white and black card, shadowed the sentiment then added it to the vellum strip.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8" in size.  All for now,  Sue x

  18. Hi Sue
The colours of the opal blaze are amazing, I’m sure you had lots of fun creating this lovely card. Patiently waiting for some Foundations pearl antique gold card to arrive to start making some Christmas cards, it took me quite awhile to find it online so wondering if it’s no longer available?

    Love and hugs to everyone

  27. I like the design of this card and the new Opal Blaze products, but you know I am not a fan of using a lot of black on a card. I'm sure that this design will look great on a different color for the background. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hugs from Toronto to you all,
    Stay safe and healthy.

Wow, what an opulent card!! Reminds me of being inside a rainbow (never having been in one, but I THINK that's what it must be like).
