Hello crafters! I was having a play with the new colours of Pearl Opal Polish for today's card. I started with a piece of black card and used Red Pearl, Green Pearl and Blue Pearl Opal Polishes randomly all over it. I used the sponge applicator that comes in the jar with the colour on it and pushed it into the card and turned it slightly. I slightly overlapped them until I filled the card. Once dry, I embossed it with the Rose Bed embossing folder for texture. I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the Decorative Flag die. I attached it to the card with mounting foam, then added several of the Pom Pom Flowers cut in Powder Pink around it. I cut the Magnolia Corner then nipped it apart and added it as accents around the flowers. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 3/4" in size. All for now. Sue x

Stunning card Sue xx Hazel
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, this looks to be a really quick and beautifully effective card to put together especially as the polish dries so quickly. We were talking about and wondering if you were in the position to see much of the launch yesterday but couldn't believe we had better weather than where you are lol unheard of in Lancashire - maybe on Saturday all being well, a wonderful long lasting memory that will last forever in our little family. Hope you have a good day and please keep safe.

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteI love this card. I have so many of your embossing folders but do tend to use the same ones most of the time. I think I will try this technique with a few of them but using white card and many of my gilding polishes as I have not bought any opal polishes yet, mainly because I could not decide which colours to get.
Love Helen xxx

A lovely card design today. I like the look of your push and turn technique with the Pearl Opal Polishes. Embossing this layer certainly gives that extra special touch to your design. I also like that there is some of the black showing around the polish areas. Nicely done with the added Pom Pom flowers and leaves from the Magnolia Corner die. Thanks for sharing. Hugs
ReplyDeleteLovely :)
ReplyDeleteA really pretty card. X
