Hi bloggers! Here is a great card to help use up some of your scrap card! I started with strips of
white , aqua and Ocean card and taped them to a piece of white card on the diagonal, butting them up tightly to each other. Next I cut a multi layered frame using the
Double Stitched Ovals, with a white base and a thinner aqua card frame on top. I added the frame to a piece of white card that I lightly inked the centre with
Spun Sugar Distress ink and attached it to the centre of the background. I cut the rose from the
Elegant Flower Trio out of powder pink and black. I used the black as a shadow behind the pink and glued it into the centre of the oval frame. I cut the
You Are Simply The Best Ever out of pink and black card and shadowed it as well. I glued the sentiment to the bottom of the card. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Oh WOW I LOVE this, not seen this sample before Sue. Like the majority that congregate here I have boxes,A4 strong cello bags, plus more BIG boxes full of 'waste' of all shapes, shades and sizes, those with apatures, borders, Pixie'd with and without cling film and bubble wrap, you name it I don't throw it lol so how great is this, thank you. Once we arrive back home later today I'm on lockdown as a 'vunerable' candidate so gues what I'll be doing lol sizing scrap for various size card blanks and hopefully come up with something as lovely and cute as today's inspiration. Stay safe and well everyone xxx

Good Morning Sue.
ReplyDeleteOnce again Your blog didn't come into my in-box so I almost gave up looking and so glad I didn't because I thought I was the only one that had boxes and more boxes of scraps and it seems that I'm not alone.
Today's card is so lovely and delicate and if I can make cards from scraps I may never have to buy new card-stock again. lol
Thank you Sue and I hope we all keep well in these troubled times.
Hugs.

Good Morning Sue. What a great idea for using up your stash of scraps and I also wonder what it would look like when all scraps assembled ... If you run it through with an embossing folder... We can all try these things now that some of us have a little more time to craft because of staying indoors more. This is a beautiful card... no one would know it was made from left overs. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone who needs them this morning. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.
