Papillon Silhouette

Hello there my crafty friends!  Day four begins with a new category called Perfect Portraits.   Designed with a bit of a mixed media feel to it, the Papillon Silhouette is my first foray into this area.  I have to say that I am really pleased with the result.  I wanted something that would allow for a bit more artsy of a look, wasn't really any need for a sentiment or theme and could be done in a number of great background techniques.  Shown here with alcohol inks, I really like the pop of colour against the white die cut.  I hope it appeals to you as well.  Please let me know what you think in your comments.  Do you have a favourite die yet or are you still mulling it over before making any decisions?  We have a very full day with more to come.  The next post will be here at noon today so I am hoping you can join us here again then.  All for now. Sue x

  4. Happy Sunday Sue, I'd love to know the thought behind this collection, did you see something whilst out that suddenly gave you an idea so the sketchbook came out? From frames and edgers back in 2017 to stained glass to this, its just amazing. Those like myself that have followed you since the Spellbinder days with the large bows and stick pins are so interested in the story behind your journey into the design chapter and how you get your ideas maybe one day you'll share this on the blog with us, in the meantime I'm really excited to be here for the rest of today's wonderful new dies and samples. This die will most definitely go on my 'Gift list' have a really lovely day xxx

Please don’t enter me in the draw for this die because as soon as I saw these dies I fell in love with them so I ordered them immediately! Since I’ve received them I can’t stop playing with them they are STUNNING! Your such a clever designer every launch gets better and better and these are so unusual and very eye catching. Your card card is absolutely beautiful! I’m loving experimenting with different background to put behind the image! Thank you for giving me back my mojo it’s been gone for such a longtime.

    Good Morning Sue.
What can I say? Here I was, sat wallowing in self-pity because my Pat is now in Wisconsin and WOW! I was faced with La La Land tight in front of my eyes. This is so different from anything I have seen before but I can see that some of my Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren will be very impressed when they receive a card from me using this die. Of course the die is now on my 'Must Have' list.
    Thank you Sue.
