Hi bloggers! This one is a bit different, but I really like the natural green shades in it, I can almost smell the scent of pine from it! LOL I started with a piece of coconut white card and used the pine sprig stamp from the Wintry Flowers and Foliage stamp set. I stamped it all around the edge in different shades of green. I used Pine Needles, Evergreen Bough, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss Distress inks. Next I cut the Ruffled Edge Frame in white as the base. I added the centre of the die with the cut out rectangles in white and used Khaki card to cut the centre piece. I went back to white for the scalloped piece to use as a base for the sentiment. I cut the Season's Greetings out of antique gold then added the words to a white shadow base and added them to the card with foam. I cut two of the Triple Layered Poinsettias out of vellum and used Enchanted Gold gilding polish on them before assembling. I added the flower to the corner and used the Twin Holly Spray cut in gold as accents. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card, thank you.
Take care and have fun Kitty.
What a lovely sample. I'm not sure if I'm seeing it at its best though as it looks more custard than coconut white but I love the design, all of it and there's that gorgeous Ruffled edge against, I really do need that die more and more each time I see it used. So many amazing festive cards coming through Paul's fb group. So I'll Sign off from a horrible very wet Lancashire and send you hugs for the day xxx

Hi Sue, I'm really sorry but this card is not for me. I don't know why because I like all the individual elements but for some reason it just doesn't gel with me, sorry.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Ann, hope you are having a lovely day x
Frances
A very interesting card Sue, haven't decided either way about it.
ReplyDeleteAnother great post. Don't see enough 'green' based cards so love this one.
ReplyDeleteHello Sue,
ReplyDeleteA lovely card with a different look for Christmas but it could really be used for almost any occasion. The background is a clever use of stamps and one we don't think about all that often. Like the different colors of green in the card.
Have a wonderful day.
Beverly
Love the use of green for leaves and seasonal aspects of nature but don't use it that often as a main background. x
ReplyDeleteEverything works so well on this card Sue, another winner.

Hello Sue and all
ReplyDeleteWonderful card and such a different style for a Christmas design design. The stamped background gives a different feel to the design of the sample and I think this would be perfect for mens cards.
