Hi crafters! I pulled out my Peacock Feather mask for this one. I started with a piece of coconut white card with a sticky adhesive sheet attached to it. Before placing my mask onto the exposed adhesive, I patted it with a Clear Perfect Medium pad so it would remove easier. I used Polished Silk Glitter through the mask with the deep blue into the centres of the feathers and the sea green into the edges. Once all the glitter was in place, I removed the mask and used Clear Micro Beads over the remaining exposed adhesive sheet. I cut the Beautiful Friend die from the Proud Peacock die set in Cobalt blue card. I seated it on a Pierced Flag and attached it to the background with foam and glue. I cut one of the large peacock feathers from the same set and used Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks on it before gluing it to the pierced flag behind the sentiment. The card was completed with white and Cobalt blue card mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 7 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

A stunning peacock design with a unique technique. I have not tried the stencil over sticky sheet and adding glitter. I see one MUST pat the stencil with Perfect Medium before laying it over the sticky sheet. Was that enough to keep the stencil from sticking to the stencil? Hugs
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, beautiful, gorgeous, stunning - I think you will guess that I like this card :-) The style and colours are lovely.
ReplyDeleteFrances

Hi Sue stunning card and fab technique. Thank you Helen Terry xxx
ReplyDeleteHello Sue,
ReplyDeleteWOW! This is simply spectacular. I can imagine in person the glitters just sparkle and shine. Whenever I see anything to do with peacocks I always think of my mother. She had about 75 of them as pets. They would run to her whenever they saw her and would fan their beautiful tail feathers for her and strut about. Thanks for reminding me of such happy memories.
Have a wonderful day.
Beverly
