Hi crafters! I have one of my favourite styles of cards to share with you; a cascading floral! I started with the 3D Bubble Burst embossing folder and embossed a piece of coconut white card. I coated it with spray glue, the sprinkled Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz all over it. Next I used the Spiral Pearl Flower and made seven layered flowers of various sizes. I used Powder Pink for the top layer, Antique Silver card for the middle layer and white for the backing. I added some shape to each flower by bending the petals to round them. I added them across the card and used the leaf from the set to add as accents along the way. The Noble Thanks die was cut in powder pink and Antique silver which I slightly offset behind it. I then added the word to a white backing shadow and mounted it in the lower corner of the card. The card was completed with Powder Pink, Antique Silver and white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now. Sue x.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, wow this looks fantastic, I love all the 3d flowers and with the glitter behind it is amazing. Another to add to my 'need to make' list.

Morning Sue.
ReplyDeleteThank you, once again a very pretty card,it is lovely.
Take care and have fun Kitty.
Hi Sue. Clean fresh and beautiful. This is a design I go to if my brain freezes. Either one of your flower dies or your first butterfly die collection, either the same colour for the cascading element or colours in various shades of pastels, it's such a quick card to make but always looks beautiful, and useful for many occasions. Sending love to you for the day xxx

ReplyDeleteHi Sue. Love these flowers and the design of the card really shows them off nicely. What a great idea to use a drop shadow on the word die before adding it to the backing shadow. It gives the word real depth.
ReplyDeleteI have just had a sneaky peak at your forthcoming launch and I think that all the peacock elements look simply stunning.
Lisbeth

Hi Sue, I too am a fan of this style of card. With a change of flower or colour or background you can create so many cards that look very different.
ReplyDeleteTrying not to look at your new release just yet but I'm not sure how long I will hold out.
Yorkie girl - good to see you again, hope things are more settled for you now.
