Good Sunday morning all! I started by covering a piece of coconut white card with a sticky adhesive sheet. I removed the backing sheet and added Summer Meadow Gilding Flakes and used a rubit scrubit pad to refine them. Next I used the Delicate Mask over it and applied Moonlight Pearl Luna Paste through it. I allowed it to dry well, then cut a double layered frame using the Double Stitched Circle dies and added it to the centre of the card. I cut a Pierced Flag and added the word Thanks to it and tucked the edge under the frame. I used the Wildflower dies to cut three flowers as embellishments. Gilding flakes on the top layer, black in the centre and white as the base of each of them. I accented them with leaves and attached them all to the side of the frame. White and black mats and layers were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 7" x 7" in size. All for now, Sue x

Good Sunday morning to you too, or whatever time of day it is wherever you are today ☺
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see this mix of flakes and Luna paste in real life put together professionally so it looks at its best rather than some numpty like me 'playing' with the effect, I bet it looks amazing. Like many of your samples, you've given us another beautiful idea with just a few ingredients. If we didn't own the flakes or paste then your circle dies and any flower would look so pretty placed on top of some lovely paper or embossed cardstock, thank you Sue for keeping out craft juices flowing every day.
Have a lovely day however you spend it xxx
Hello Sue

ReplyDeleteA lovely start to the day again. I seem to use the same words every day but I can't think of any new ones lol.
I really like it and maybe one day I'll have a go with the paste but not yet.
Hope you are well and happy Sue.
Marie P,
Good morning Sue,
ReplyDeleteGilding flakes always give a card a wonderful opulent look and this one is no exception. The Summer Meadow flakes really set the regal style off a treat and the Wildflower die coordinates beautifully with the Delicate mask design, stunning! x
Good Morning Sue and all the Wilsonettes

Morning Sue, thanks for reminding us to get the gilding flakes out. Those flakes are like magic. The more you use them the more you have to 'cram' back into the container. Value for money, or what?
ReplyDeleteI don't have any lunar paste either but the effect looks gorgeous. Have a lovely Sunday. Just started raining here, but as we English say,"it will do the gardens good" Hugs xx Pauline

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteStunning card, love the Luna paste over the gilding flakes but I’m sure if I tried that the result would be a right mess. The sun is shining so I’m caught between wanting to be out in the garden or watching the Wimbledon men’s final on the tv. Enjoy your day whatever you’re doing
Love and hugs to everyone
