Hi crafters! This is one of my favourite mermaid cards! I started by cutting three different sized circle apertures into the card using the Double Stitched Circles. I made thin frames for each of them and added foam to raise them over the apertures. I used the Bubble Burst 3D Embossing Folder to add texture behind each of the openings. I inked them lightly with Tumbled Glass ink before attaching them. To the smaller two openings, I cut a variety of sea grass out of different shades of green card from my stash and glued them into place. I added dome small fish and seahorse and seashells to them. For the larger opening, I used more sea grass and seashells, but cut two of the large sea turtles and inked them before adding them. I used the sitting mermaid to the side of the larger opening and cut her in milk and ocean card. I added some blonds hair using fossilized amber ink, then cut away the body from the ocean die ct and glued it on top of the mermaid cut from the milk coloured card. I added a starfish to her hand and mounted her with foam to the side of the card. I used the Can't wait to sea you sentiment cut out of ocean card and glued it between the apertures. White on white mats were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Hello Sue,
ReplyDeleteEach card that you have made from the Mermaid Collection just make me "happy" and today's card is no exception. They are all so delightful and have so much detail. Each time you look at one you see something that you missed the last time you had a look. You should have a "Mermaid Wall" to display all of them.
Have a nice day.
Beverly
