Diagonal Background


Good morning all!  Next up is the Diagonal Background from the Filigree Artistry Collection.  Shown here, cut in vellum against a white card background, you can see how lovely and delicate it looks!  The cut out areas are perfect for using thin strips of card or ribbon through them for an incredible look.  This border can easily be cut into strips to create a different look or used as a border, the possibilities are endless!  Shown here with the small side edge of the previous die, you can see how nicely it works with the other dies in the collection.  I would love to be able to send this one to a good home so please leave your comments on this post so you are entered into the drawing to win it!  This is the final post for the Filigree Artistry Collection, but I will be back at noon with some new Frames and Tags to share with you.  All for now, Sue x

    Such a beautiful card this morning and loving the gentle detail in the Diagonal Background from the Filigree Artistry Collection. I can see this being one of them go to dies for backgrounds and love how you have used the edge from squares and crosses to finish the edges.

    This is probably my favourite die so far because I love and use the squares such a lot as my base layers and mats also and it looks absoutely stunning when cut out, just gorgeous. x

    Loving the delicacy of this design cut in the vellum. Also sounds very versatile to weave other colours or ribbons through the pattern to change the look. This may have gone to the top of my list! Thank you Sue, beautiful card finished with that lovely stamp.

    Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, an amazing creation to greet us on this beautiful morning, yes I can just imagine a thin ribbon running through it, although I do like the white with the white vellum too, can you imagine with the glitter behind it, what blitzy creations can be made.     Great Springtime stamp which sits perfectly on the background die. I'd never thought of using vellum in this way as I usually just cut or stamp flowers on it. Another technique to try.
