Best Wishes

Hi bloggers!  Today's card features the Iris Flower Square done with Crystal Tints.  I started by cutting the Iris Flower Square out of coconut white card. I glued it to a piece of acetate, making sure that all the lines were securely glued to the acetate.  I used Yellow Citrine, Rose Quartz, Pink Topaz and Emerald Green to fill in the sections of the flower.  I allowed the colours to mix a bit to give it more interest.    I set it aside to dry overnight as I added two coats of each colour.  I left the background open, but mounted a piece of arctic Blue card behind it when dry.  I cut a larger piece of white card as a base, then added the Hexagonal Border on the diagonal in the upper corner.  I cut the Best Wishes sentiment in black and glued in to the lower edge of the card.  I added the flower square to the centre with foam mounting for dimension.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4"  x 6 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  7. Good morning Sue. What a lovely vibrant happy sample to wake up to. The whole collection of the square flower dies are so beautiful and versatile but I must remember to use the handy tip you gave us about a tiny bit of glue dot on a pokey tool to help pick up the tiny centre fall out pieces, I know it will cut down on the amount of 'tuts' when I fight to pick up and place lol. You have given us day after day of the prettiest of samples the past few weeks, so thank you. Whenever your long deserved holiday starts, and wherever your spending it, I hope you have the most relaxing down time, if anyone deserves it you do xxx

  13. Morning Sue and all WIlsonettes, such a pretty sample today, I did purchase some of the tints but wasn't able to get the yellow so that is on my list to get, I want to try this process because it makes the stained glass effect so realistic, thank you for sharing.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xx

  23. Hello Sue and all
A beautiful, colourful card today. I haven’t tried the crystal tints but they look so gorgeous here that may have to be remedied. Love the border and as usual the pop of black to make it all really stand out.

    Hi Sue,
This card is so beautiful. And the honeycomb accent provides an extra amount of interest.
I think, done in different colours, will make a beautiful sympathy card, too.

I am really liking the blending of different colored Crystal Tints in the petals. When I was making glass stain glass products, many decades ago, I would search out those glass pieces that were multi-colored and textured to use on my design. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
