Hello bloggers! I have a lovely autumnal Stamped card to share with you today. I started by stamping the Eliza's Dragonfly Daisy STDF in black Archival ink and cutting it out with the matching die. I used Distress Markers to colour it. I inked and stamped just the dragonfly part a second time and cut it out by hand and coloured it. I used a dab of Stellar Ice Luna paste on my finger to add an iridescence to the wings then glued it in top of the original. I used a milk card backing and cut a couple of Double Stitched Squares to seat the stamped image on. I then created a larger multi layered frame using the same set with a wider milk mat and a thinner Chestnut Brown card frame layer. I cut the For You shadowed sentiment in chestnut brown and glued it in the open area on the focal element. Milk and brown mats and layers were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x 7 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue. I love how you've surrounded the main focal point with the frames, and your new collection of stamps are gorgeous, not a lover of dragonflies both in the insect world or craft world but I know a lot of people love them, but I'm loving everything I see before me xxx

Stunning card Sue. Really love the dragonfly, anything of nature gets my vote. I do like frames on cards as well, sets them apart, makes them look very expensive.

ReplyDeleteHi Sue, this lovely card certainly has an autumnal feel to it. I love the composition and the STDF with your excellent colouring. Eliza's outer cutting die has an unusual shape that lifts the focal point so much more than a plain circle, love it.
