Hello bloggers! I started this card by embossing a piece of coconut white card using the
Rows Of Bows embossing folder. Next I cut the
Hexagonal Border out of both
wisteria card and
black card. I offset the black behind the wisteria border to create a shadow and glued it diagonally across the lower left corner of the card. I trimmed the excess off even with the edge of the embossed card. Next I cut out enough
Layered Carnations out of
wisteria card to create three dimensional flowers. I used the matching
Layered Carnation Flower stamps to stamp them all in black. I inked the stamps and pressed the cut flowers into them (I find it is quicker to do it this way) I created the flowers and glued them into place at the top edge of the border. I used white leaves from the set to accent the flowers. I cut the
Best Wishes in both wisteria card and black card too. I shadowed it then glued the sentiment in place in the top portion of the card. Wisteria, White and Black mats and layers were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

ReplyDeleteFor some reason not my favourite, really can't decide why. However love the flowers.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. A beautiful clean crisp simple fresh sample today. I go to my ROB's folder a lot especially for those cards for female's and little girls it's such a deep pretty delicate pattern. I'm thinking this design of elegant simplicity would also be ideal for those sad difficult cards we are asked for with the appropriate change of sentiment, and of course just a lovely card for any occasion as you've shown us above. Sending hugs for a lovely day whatever you are up to xxx

Hi Sue. Lots of really simple cards recently which just goes to show that you don't have to put everything you have onto a card to make a really beautiful creation. In fact, I think that the simplicity allows the true beauty of the elements to shine.
