Hello crafters! First up on this double day is an angel card. I cut the frame from the Mosaic Bauble in black. I glued it to a piece of acetate and used the Crystal Tints to fill in all the areas. I used a paint brush to fill in the areas in a random manner. I put down two coats and allowed it to dry. I cut another of the Mosaic Bauble and glued it on top to hide any areas where the tint touched the die. I backed it with a piece of white card. Next I cut the 2018 Christmas Angel with a piece of black card on top of a piece of white card. This gave me the black outline cut out as well as a white outline backing piece. I used spray glue on the white card angel and then attached the black outline to it and glittered the exposed sticky areas with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz. I mounted the angel with foam in the centre of the frame. White and black mats were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8" in size. Scroll down to see card number two.
For the second card, i cut a white background and glued two Frosty Snowflake Borders to the top and bottom edges cut out of antique gold card. For the focal element, I cut the Eve die in white to use at the back of the focal point. I layered up the Faith die in white. I cut the centre of the Natalie die out of antique gold to create a thin frame. I used a Pierced flag to seat my sentiment on. I used one of the sentiments from the Snowball Frame die set. I tucked the end of the flag through the frame and glued it in the centre of the card. I made two poinsettias out of vellum and added them at the edge of sentiment. The card was completed with white and antique gold mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue

ReplyDeleteMorning Sue, although I love the effect the mosaic border which really catches the eye, it's the second sample which is more my cup of tea, the delicacy of the whole design is just so beautiful. But I also appreciate the time it possibly takes to make such a beautiful border and can see in my minds eye the many gorgeous options you have given to make the border as subtle or as eye catching as the occasion calls for. Two lovely samples to help kick the festive inspiration into gear xxx
