Good Sunday morning all! Today's card is almost in the clean and simple realm as it is so quick and easy. I started with a piece of coconut white card and embossed it with the Art Deco Shells embossing folder for texture. I gave it a thin pink mat. Next I cut two of the Floral Melody corners out of coconut white card. I added the larger flower in straw yellow behind and then did the rose in a dusty rose colour and the two lilies in blush card. I added the corners with mounting foam in opposite corners. I cut the Happy Birthday mini expression die twice out of dusty rose card and glued them in a diagonal fashion in the centre of the card. White mats and layers were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 7 1/2" in size. All for now, D

Maybe the lilies could have used some ink so they'd hold their own with the straw and dusty rose. Or the yellow needed to be softer. Or maybe the blush was intended for the person seeing it in person. Anyway it almost didn't make its transatlantic crossing. What I love about this card is the way the corners stick out beyond the embossed area. Really nice texture, and it creates a little excitement by breaking the boundary.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy with your April launch and the things I want to do with what I picked. I want to lock myself in my craft room and not come out until I run out of paper! Or get hungry.
May your Sunday be sunny!
Best,
Donita in R.I.
