Hi there my crafty friends! I just love these rose spray corners and think this card shows them off beautifully! I started with a piece of coconut white card and used the Daisy Circle to cut an aperture in the centre of it. I added mounting foam to the back to raise it and added it over a piece of dusty rose card (from my stash). I cut four of the Rose Spray Corners out of the same colour and glued them to the corners as accents. I cut the Daisy Circle out of white card and glued it into the aperture opening. I stamped my sentiment and covered it wit a sticky adhesive sheet. I cut an oval frame for it and peeled the backing paper off and attached the frame then coated it with Diamond Sprinkles. I used a Victorian Velvet Distressed marker and added a bit of colour on top of the glitter. I attached the sentiment in the centre with foam. I added three small rose flowers to the frame of the sentiment cut from the
Spring Foliage die set. The card was completed by piercing a white mat layer, adding a thin dusty rose mat and a final white card layer. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 6 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Good morning Sue and all. Beautiful card, love it. Such a true sentiment
ReplyDeleteDenise congratulations on your first grandchild, it is a wonderful feeling being a grandma or Nanna which ever you are.
Steph, such good news for Tina,Claire and Toby, hope all goes well for them.
Elaine, I hope Mary is feeling a little better, they do seem to discharge people very early these days.
June Horrocks, hope you are feeling better soon, poor you.
Crewe Trish glad you enjoyed your weekend.
You too Diane, bet you loved your surprise.
I don't have a problem with the flying pink pigs, it's seagulls round here. My car, windows and even the walls get bombed. Ugh.
You are right Trish, if they put me in the car park they would also move the cabinets out there too. Do I feel got at, not at all.
Daily hugs to all, especially our poorly and missing friends. Have a good day everyone.
Wow stunning card today Sue and those corners are awesome. Have a great day hugs zxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteLove the dimension! Beautiful card!

Hello Sue, what a lovely card, the daisy die is beautiful, and so are the corner dies. Have a great day everyone. Bx
ReplyDeleteDear Sue,
ReplyDeleteThe corners in dusty rose just don't work for me. Maybe they would have worked better in white on white. Or a lighter or darker pink. We can't all be wild about all of them. Never knew you could color glitter with markers.
How can it be Monday again?
Love,
Donita
Great card Sue.
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue. Another glorious start to the day, a beautiful sample alongside a beautiful sunny morning. I do love using the Daisy Circle, it makes such a pretty statement whether used as an apature or as a main focal, put together with these dainty corners, well it's a pure winner. Off seal and puffin watching today on a katamaran to the Farne Isles, a treat from my man as he's made this journey himself some years ago. Gloves and hat at the ready and a friendly chat with the Captain yesterday means should I get too cold on the journey they will allow me to warm up in the wheel house ☺ which is so kind of them. Just hope I don't get fired at too much by the nesting birds - hence the hat (anyone that has ever watched a program on the Farne Isles will know what I'm babbling on about) !!
ReplyDeleteSo I will send you my daily love n hugs and hope you have a lovely day xxx
Really beautiful card today.
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a lovely card today, soft rose pink is such a nice colour to use for this sort of card and I like the corners, I agree with Donita that I would try white corners which would work better for me.
ReplyDeletePam reiterate all you have said, sounds like everyone had a good weekend, wish I could have got up to Doncaster it was a great Create it show.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
Help Sue and all
ReplyDeletepretty card and thank you for the idea of colouring glitter with distress inks- something I probably would never have tried.

Good morning Sue. Lovely card. I really like the inset focal point but I'm another who would prefer a white rose corner.
ReplyDeletePam, I know about the seagulls too, if only visitors would stop feeding them! Hugs to all. Sue xxx
Good morning Sue
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card! I love daisy and corner dies! Thanks for sharing about colouring the glitter I've never thought of doing that.
Hugs x

Morning Sue
ReplyDeleteLovely card, and I love the colours. I too will have to try colouring over glitter
Pat x
Morning Sue,
ReplyDeleteDo I love this card?......Yes indeed I do, yet personally I would be inclined to use white on white for the corners. The soft rose is such a strong colour in your photo.
Never thought you could colour the glitter with inks. Oooh, that could be a disaster for all designers of coloured glitters if we all bought white or clear then inked it ourselves.
Hmmm, thought provoking.
Gentle hugs and healing prayers to all in distress, pain & discomfort. May your day become kinder to you.
Love 7 hugs

Pam, it would be quite nice working in the car park today - but not in bad weather!!
Steph, enjoy the Farne's, at least you have a good day for it although the water may be a bit choppy. A hat is definitely a good idea!

Hi Sue,

Beautiful card Sue and I love the Rose corners and the beautiful colour pink. Thank you for sharing this. Echoing Pam's comments today.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue,
ReplyDeleteI cannot decide what I love the most … the aperture (never tried this technique. It’s a must try because it’s so effective), the colored glitter (I didn’t know you can color it) or the Rose spray corners. If you used them separate will create lovely details, but together create this beautiful card. Love it. Thank you for sharing. There's always something to learn from you.
Pam – Glad to see you can still smile about your work situation. You are a tough lady. :)
Elaine - I hope Mary is feeling a little better. Hugs to you all.
Rosemary - Sorry to read about your uncle.
Sharon – Hope everything went well at the hospital.
The two Princesses – Hope you are feeling better.
Hugs to all.
