Hi there my crafty friends! We have two die sets on offer during this post: the Hobnail Vase and the Lily of the Valley sets. I love this vase as it is incredible versatile. As you can see in this sample, it can easily be cut in sections to create different looks that can be used together or separately. The embossed hobnail design looks especially striking when used with Glossy Accents on it too. The Lily of the Valley works beautifully to fill the vase, use it with baskets with other flowers or just in frames. There are several different stems to it so you can mix and match them to create any sort of arrangement you desire. Feel free to pin the card to use as inspiration at a later date but don't forget to leave your comment on the blog post. You have two chances to win here with a single comment. The last post for today will be online at 6pm. Don't forget to drop by the blog then to have a look! All for now, Sue x

ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore Lily of the Valley, it was my mum's favourite flower and my dad always grew them in the garden for her. You have captured them so well in this die set and the vase which is very elegant and classic also reminds me of a time gone by in my grandmothers house. She had a vase like this filled with Gladioli which was my dad's favourite flower. You gave bought back many happy childhood memories with these particular dies.

Hi again Sue. Fantastic show albeit very noisy on set !! And i adored your samples, so lovely to see you again ☺
ReplyDeleteIn my previous post I said the die being showcased didn't light my candle as much as the other new dies - I was actually referring to the vase not the lovely Dandilion posie I do apologize. But now seeing the vase again I stand by what I said previously, the vase wasn't going to be high on the list, but believe you me it is now and so are the Lily of the Valley. This sample is so very pretty Sue, and I'm really looking forward to owning the vase,as it's going to look so gorgeous used with the majority of your flower died and all the foliage dies you have designed from the very beginning in fact I'm really very excited about it and looking forward to all the gorgeous cards I'd like to make with them from big bouquets to CAS less is more type cards simple enough to use as 'sad' cards. So count me in for these please and if I'm not lucky to own this via a gift from you via the draw then it's THE die I shall treat myself to ☺
Hope to see you soon again on HOCHANDA as you are sooo missed. Love n hugs xx
Oh dear I'm so stupid. I got it ALL wrong !!! It wasn't even the Dandelion Posie in the previous post ! I do apologize again. Maybe I should just go now before I confuse myself even more than I already am !!

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!
ReplyDeleteIf i am totally honest i didn't immediately take to these dies, i mistakenly thought that they had their limitations and i didn't see the appeal of a vase of flowers as a focal point to a card. This card has made me rethink my hasty assumption, it is stunning, I adore the way you have cut into the vase to create different heights/levels and the lily of the valley is the perfect finishing touch. I think that I will be adding these beauties to my ever expanding list, that's the power of the Sue Wilson touch:-)

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous card and what a touch of nostalgia for me today. My mum had a vase like this which I've still got in my cupboard, I remember filling it with flowers from the garden when I was little (probably more heads than stem!). Hello Sue,
ReplyDeleteLily of the Valley is a favourite plant of mine! In my Mum's garden it grew like a weed - in mine it dies! I still love it. You have captured the essence of the plant and it looks soooo real. The vase too is beautiful and how clever to snip it to the required height! Ingenious.
I watched the Show today and found it fascinating but the " fillables " are not really me! I think I can hear my husband shouting " thank goodness !" in the background lol! There isn't much in your range that isn't for me! I got my Set B of the Squares last week. I have used the first set over and over again. Now I have more options! You are clever!

Sue, this vase is so realistic looking........my mother has one just like it in a porcelain type of shiny white material with all those nooks and bumps on it. I can see using this vase on a lot of my floral cards. Thank you for showing how it can be cut down to a smaller version too as I never would have thought of doing that. You provide so much inspiration; thank goodness for Pinterest or I'd never be able to remember all your card ideas. This vase is absolutely lovely.
ReplyDeleteOh, such sweet Lily of the Valley flowers. Just looking at these flowers I can sense the fragrance of these lovely flowers. My Lily of the Valley flowers have not bloomed yet in my flower garden. My yard, in certain areas, has a natural form of these Lily of the Valley flowers growing. The natural form, meaning before these flowers were hybridized, are very short, no taller than two inches, and they have a tiny double bloom. Your Hobnail Vase reminds me of a friend's round squatty perfume bottle, about six inches tall, that she had on her dresser in the 1950's that I wish I owned. Do you remember this perfume bottle?
ReplyDeleteSuper stunning card, love the Lily of the Valley.
