Hi there my crafty friends! I have a soft custard yellow, black and white offering for you today. I started by creating a background using the custard yellow card and the outer die from the Lotus Striplet. I cut it four times around a square, slotting it back into place from a previous cut but turning it a right angles each time. I backed it with white card then created a frame for it. I used both the Double Pierced Square Noble sets the original and the B set). I made a multi layered frame using both white and black card. I attached it with foam over my background. I cut the Pacific Ocean Tag in custard and backed it in black for contrast. I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the oval from the other tag in the set. I seated the tag with the sentiment in the centre of the card. Using the Striped Nasturtiums, I cut several of varying sizes of the solid petal and assembled them so they were cascading across the card. I added white flatback pearls to all the centres as accents. The card was completed with custard white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

Hello Sue, another beautiful card, love the design and the colours. Have a great day all. Bx
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday Sue. A new week of beautiful inspiration from our favourite friendly designer has started with a real beauty. It has that clean fresh look to it with that touch of black to highlight such a happy spring like yellow that in turn highlights your sweet flower dies, who couldn't love starting a new week with your beautiful work. Thank you CE for your magical glue, and thank you Sue for your In The Garden SB collection. I took a card blank plus mats and a SB frame already cut to market yesterday plus my tiny die cutting machine and all your SB accessories. Even before the glue was dry I'd got someone waiting for it lol no pressure !!! I told you they would be moved and I wasn't wrong, so a BIG thank you from me to you. This is the reason your new 'clever' collection will be my first purchases. You are wonderful you know xxx

ReplyDeleteHi, Sue,
ReplyDeleteAnother stunner today. I really like the smart background, striplet dies are so versatile aren't they. The nasturtiums look really classy in white card, it's my ambition to be able to one day have all your flower dies.
Pam, pace yourself on your first day back at work and keep warm.
I need to go to town today and, although the sun is out it's getting pretty close to what we call frosty weather down in my part of Cornwall so I need my fluffy socks as the doc has told me a condition I've never error heard of which means I shouldn't let my toes get cold. It's hard to put trainers on over think so keep though lol.
When I get back its crafting time...if you can call painting my metal bistro table with Hammerite crafting lol. I decided to bring it indoors as I don't have a dining table but noticed some rust spots. As I can't find the right colour, it's verdigris effect, I've gone for a slightly paler green, so instead of patching I'm finding I have to paint the entire thing...the chair got two coats yesterday, crikey that stuff stinks lol.
Happy Monday everyone, hugs to all who need them.

ReplyDeleteHi Sue, a lovely card. Very fresh, modern looking with the background and Spring like colours. Pretty flowers too.
ReplyDeleteHello Sue,
ReplyDeleteAnother WOW for us today. I really love the colours as they are so Springlike . We were looking at how big the daffodils in the garden are already and some snowdrops already blooming! I digress - your card reminded me of Spring and the use of the Striplet is stunning . I don't have that one but it is beautiful in its simplicity! As ever really pretty flowers and the touch of black is a bit like the icing on a cake - the perfect finishing touch!
Pam - I'm so pleased I'm not the only one lol!!! Hope today at work goes well and doesn't tire you out!
We have sunshine here just now but it's a bit of a mixed bag in Britain today weather wise.
