dragonswing!!!
Congratulations! Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your card
The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 7" in size. All for now, Sue x
Beautiful card Sue.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Dragonswing, enjoy your card.
Elaine, this is just what Andrew did not need, a knock to his confidence and being upset. However I think he is right to make a formal complaint, the person concerned should never be allowed to work with ill people. Now he is going to incur a longer drive, additional expense and inconvenience. I hope this is taken up immediately. I hope that this treatment goes well for him. You too, the stress has gotten to you too.
Tracey, youi of all people are welcome to top spot, it is so good to see you doing so well. I post at that time as I leave for work at 6.05 and I tend to wake up at 4 every day.
Thanks for caring wishes ladies, wouldn't dare stop off work, they are down on everyone like a ton of bricks these days so everyone comes in poorly and passes the germs around. Bit like share and don't care.
Sandy G, the hospital wrote to the GP to say I had to have a rescue pack at home but I still had to fight for it from the Resp nurse.
Tina, hope Peters test went well.
June, you are doing great. Cheryl that gurt squashy hug did me the world of good.
Massive hugs to all, great to see poorly friends back too, hope Tina and Mick is okay.
Beautiful card. Really lovely.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Dragonswing.
Happy crafting.

Beautiful card, Sue, love the way you've sparkled the blossom edger, also that lovely little slotted border looks so good wherever you've used it. Thanks as ever for the video.
ReplyDeleteWell wishes for Andrew, so sorry for the upset - what he doesn't need is an even longer journey. Our local practice does bloods to send off for oncology, which is so easy. Who not everywhere?
Tracy - yes, things get back to almost normal so quickly, but nice to know you've been missed. Guess things will be hectic at work.
Well done to dragonswing on the card win.
Hugs to all.

Hi Sue and crafters all,
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday!!!!
Beautiful card today, just love these edgers so so versatile and the sugared effect against the lilac looks fantastic.
Congratulations to Dragonskip on your winning this weeks giveaway.
Pam - hope you are feeling a bit better and now it's the weekend you can chill out. It is disgusting that you have to work when you are ill- special hugs.
June Smith- hope all is going well with your physio and you can soon discard the crutches.
Peter had his blood test, but was told booked in for next week, the GP administrator rang me to say it was due and gave me the date and then booked it for the 18th, he was still seen which was good.
Elaine - you have to complain about the treatment and care of Andrew - go through the PATIENT LIASON SERVICE they are there to help.
Love and crafty hugs to all who need them

ReplyDeleteA beautiful treat for us today. This was the edger I treated myself to but have a couple more added to my gift list. I'm looking forward to watching your tutorial as I've not used this die yet due to all the festive orders ive had to work on, but between your videos and Johns shows I know I will get many beautiful ideas on how to make the most of it. I see numerous edges cut, sticky adhesive sheet and a background forming maybe ?
I will send you my usual hugs and send congrats to dragonswing for being out Wednesday winner, enjoy your personal gift.
Have a good day xxx

Getting a massage today I'm so excited as it's been a long time as I wasn't allowed after I'd been diagnosed last year. Although I'm not allowed a deep tissue massage anymore so I'll just have to stick to a namby pamby as I call it ( less pressure) better than nothing lol
Congrats to dragonswing on your win!!

Lovely. The card had a very Victorian look about it. xxxx
ReplyDeleteI love the combination of dies - Indian, Charlotte and borders. How much of a difference does that thin border die make! Quite remarkable that a small narrow die can 'shout so loud'. Perfect colour combo too.

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this card the layers ,dies used and color, just beautiful.
Congrats to Dragonswing.
Pam, Hope your feeling better now , it is a shame when you dare not have time off work when ill.
June , keep up the good work.
Thank you everyone , it was a very long day for Andrew's treatment yesterday starting at 9.00am and finishing at 6.35. the reason was they were so busy with lots of poorly people, the poor nurses were rushed off their feet , but always with a smile and a gentle word ,to quote Andrew " they are brilliant nurses who can't do enough for you ", anyway im glad to say he is feeling happier and more confident again now.
I feel better than yesterday ,just got a muzzy head , i don't have Migrain very often i am glad to say , but my heart goes out to those that do .
sending big hugs to all.
Take Care

Hugs To "All" Wilsonettes, Congratulations 👏 To "Dragonswing" For Winning The Extremely Beautiful Wednesday Gift Card Enjoy!!!
Good morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,
ReplyDeleteI do like the lilac and white combination Sue and i love the wee accent touch that you have done to the top wee oval with it getting the diamond snow treatment to match in with the sides or to tie them in to the rest of you lovely card. I don't have any of this release dies yet but i can do it with ones that i do have to give it the same but different look. When is your REST time, as you seem to have been on the go non stop for months, although i know that you thrive on work, you still need a time to recharge those batteries. Thank you flower for bringing such a lovely WOW to us today and i hope that you have a lovely day where ever you are at the moment.
I have been busy trying to finish a shawl for a very dear friend who i seen yesterday and had such a wonderful time with as well as my surprise guest who is just lovely and such a pleasure to meet. I seem to have been busy the whole of this week which was such a change for me. I now have the lassie next door's shawl to make for her partners daughter in law who is expecting their first baby, a girl. Lorna wants to be able to give something different to the wee lass so asked for me to knit a shawl for her as the wee one is due in the new year. I never thought that my knitting skills would be so much wanted as i was always old fashioned because i could knit, but here goes on shawl number 5 over this past couple of months. My friend texted me to see if i had any finished as she wanted one for a baby that is already here. Ann is a nightmare as she does this to me on a regular basis in wanting shawls( yes last year it was two at one time for a set of twins) at the last minute. She is tail end charlie at everything including running late for any and everything, she is going to be late for her own funeral one of these days.
Well up here in Glenochil it is a lovely day which i'm glad as the family along at the end of the road are away to the crematorium to say a last goodbye to their son who was killed down at Castle Donnington 3 weeks ago. I was fine until all the motorbikes started following behind the cortege, brings back my brothers time oh so vividly and it's something that i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
Congratulations to Dragonswing upon winning this weeks beauty, i hope that you have great enjoyment from it flower.
Sending hugs to all that need, want or could do with them,
love and crafty hugs
Norah (glenochil)

Good morning Sue,

Beautiful card, love the colour. Ivy C x
ReplyDeleteLovely card enhanced by the use of this edger die.
ReplyDeleteI have read through the last couple of day's posts and was shocked and disgusted to read Elaine's comments about Andrew's treatment at the hospital. If there is grounds for formal complaint then this is certainly the case. Disciplinary action and retraining is a must here.
We have finally had communications with the hospital re my mother. The doctor has confirmed the lesions and nodules in the lung but are not sure of the location of the major mass. At 89 and being very frail, there is uncertainty as to the next steps. She is now in the Care Home on the same site as her flat and is being well looked after and sounded very chipper when I phoned her the other night.
Tracey: I am not sure whether to applaud the fact that you might now be able to beat Pam with top sport on the comments board or groan in horror! I think it has to be the former because it says so much as to your resilience but the thought of being up that early........ well!!!!!
Teres
Lovely card Sue. I love the edger, it's on my Christmas list along with a few other die sets :-)

Today's card is beautiful and the versatility of your Dies amazes me on a weekly basis! Love the colours too.
Tracy - Pam is so lovely gel she would willingly trade " top spot" with you. As for me - early mornings aren't me! I actually have a little picture of a Teddy asleep with his head on the table which says " I don't do mornings!" I bought it!!! Now I clearly do mornings but they don't begin at 6am!! I'm so pleased you are settling back into a routine and you sound so upbeat . Go Girl!!

Going to be brief. I have been down to my 95 year old neighbours. Some of you may remember me mentioning her at the beginning of the year when she had a stroke. Well she is doing unbelievably well and I made a cake and took it with me so we could have tea and cake whilst watching the remembrance service. Lovely to watch and Very moving. Not long been back and as you can imagine I can hear my bed beckoning.
So I will send happy thoughts and lots of love to you all - especially my blog besties x

The perfect die for showing off ribbons and such a delicate design. Of course the star of today's card, your stunning Blossom Edger dies look amazing on this card Sue. I am loving those cute little glittery, blossom flowers !!! So pretty and delicate.
