Thanks

Hi bloggers!  A pretty petticoat card for today's offering.  I started by cutting the decorative outer dies from the Bern set into a piece of wisteria card and used the very centre from the Geneva set.   I backed the very centre with white then I backed the entire edge part of the cut out with a piece of sort of aubergine card (from my stash).  I used the Swiss Border and cut it three times out of coconut white card.  I backed two of them with wisteria and one with the same aubergine card.  I glued them to the lower portion of the card in alternating colours and added a pearl strip across the top border section.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the oval from the Geneva set and mounted it in the centre on foam.  I added some decorative pearl corners to the top and some flatback pearls on to the die cuts as accents.  I completed the card with white, wisteria and aubergine mats.  The finished sizes is 7 1/2" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  15. Morning Sue, hope you had an enjoyable weekend. Lottie's card now finished, a CAS first birthday card but your stitched animals made it into something cute thank you. It's a shame that mummy & daddy prefer clean under-estimated stationary and cards cuz I really could have gone to town on it lol. It was very very fiddly with my stupid fingers to put her name on it, and that took longer to do than the rest of the card lol but it's done now in plenty of time.
Today's card is gorgeous. I adore the look of fancy frilly lace on the bottom, it all ties in so beautifully and the two colour's were made for this design.
Pam, hope you were able to relax while you were away and that it didn't prove to emotional for you. Welcome home and welcome to back to your regular position xx.
Sending hugs to you dear Sue and have a good day xx

  56. Good morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,
The petticoat effect is so pretty as it reminds me of Mum making me sticky out petticoats for my dresses, as i loved that style of dress when i was young, but it wasn't out or in fashion because like the song i was born too late. The colours that you have used go so nicely together flower and just look oh so girlie and just for a change i can make this lovely piece up too, lol. Thank you flower for giving us such a pretty piece of inspiration this morning and i hope that you have a lovely day.
Hugs to all my poor Wilsonette friends that are suffering just now, i can only hope that today at least you have a better day,

  118. Hi Sue and everyone. Really lovely card. Great colours and love the petticoat effect. The Swiss collection really is gorgeous.

Thank you to everyone who has sent me well wishes lately, sorry I am too tired to check the names in case I miss anyone, sorry if I already have. Feeling a lot better, but still bruised.

P Pixie, oh no, how terrible. Glad the ebosser seems ok. That's what I use. Think they must be quite robust... you know how clumsy I am!
Poor little striplet though. So sorry for your loss x. Seems Sues poinsettias can have vicious side, you almost sliced your finger off on your striplet and I stuck the point of one right under my fingernail! They look so beautiful as well. Watch out folks...
Hope you feel better soon. X thanks for the special mention by name too( hope it is me) made me smile. x

Welcome home Pam. Good to see you at the top again. X

    Sorry, need to sleep now.

    Love Helen xxx
