Hi bloggers! The Christmas cards may seem to be showing up more often now but it isn't really that long until the big day so we must get going on these! Today's video is a really easy channel card that you could even do in batches!
Don't forget to come by and say Hi if you are at Ally Pally today or tomorrow! We are going to be doing a group photo at my stand (in front of the stained Glass window in the front of the room) at the beginning of the show at 10am. I would love to see you there!

Update on Peter his appointment is Tuesday 20th September,he is not to bad but finding something to drink is getting difficult as he does not like the flavoured cordials. Milk he drinks ok as is a cup of cocoa made with evaporated milk.

After reading CraftySuetoo's comment above I presume you have a whole bunch of festive decorations around your crafting studio, this I'm looking forward to along with your inspiration of course. Today's sample is so pretty, it's quite plain but in a pretty 'gentle' way if you get my drift, yes, will go l and enjoy your tutorial while 'my keeper' and the other lady in his life are at the country park !
ReplyDeleteI'm certain there is a little anxiety as you wait for the show to open but that will soon be over taken by excitement I've no doubts. I'm quite introvert and keep myself to myself mostly,it's a confidence, low esteem kind of thing - or you could say quite a boring kind of person lol so it sounds like all the 'fun' that has been mentioned over the past few days would be my idea of hell, if I can merge into the background and not bring attention to myself then that suits me down to the ground lol I'd be the last person to be able to introduce myself I'd feel mortified lol so maybe AP is out for me, but so looking forward to watching you and the team on tv throughout the weekend - Phill has me in stitches, I'm hoping and praying the microphone works for him today, bless him, he just laughed through it last year, he has the most contagious laugh ever 😀 I hope the girls behave and don't distract you too much tomorrow as an hour isn't long when you're trying to concentrate with a live audience plus having to hold while product numbers are being read out to us PLUS questions being asked, phew I'm making myself nervous, what must I be doing to your nerves ! Sorry Sue.
You will be a great success and people adore you really adore you and your dies, so take extra stock with you as you will have a real happy productive fun weekend.

Morning Sue. This is a gorgeous christmas card. The silver and white makes a clean ans elegant card. Loving the star swirl which is one i dont have yet lol. The rest of my baby dies arrived yesterday and they are all so cute, cant wait to have a play but will have to for another couple of days as we are finishing our decorating off. ReplyDeleteWell Sue what a gorgeous christmas card in the silver and white, the detail from the starry swirls embossing folder is stunning and how much deeper you get the detail from it with your new die machine, an awful lot better than the grand caliburs. I love that wee star spangled banner and the fact that it is so loose in moving i wonder if you can place it say around the tree for instance. I love all the dies you have used in making todays beauty Sue but as useful i unfortunately don't have any of them as yet so it will be a rake into my christmas die folder to see what i can use. Have a wonderful day flower and enjoy which i know you do anyway, but it is the kind of show that must be buzzing in atmosphere and with all the mad Wilsonettes coming to see you, you shouldn't run short of giggles.

To everyone who goes I hope you have a great time even though you may have sore feet afterwards ! Crafters are such friendly people and you end up talking to people you don't know . I've never been to Ally Pally but my DIL took me to Birmingham to the Hobbycraft Show last November and it was lovely! My DIL enjoyed it too and she isn't even a crafter!
Maureen - looking forward to seeing those medals but to catching up with you even more! Don't faint - I know I've been nice! Ha ha!
Sue - I hope today and tomorrow are a huge success!! I'm sure they will be.

ReplyDeleteChristmas tutorials are by far my favourite so I was more than a little pleased to see one today. The set was absolutely gorgeous, the wreath, tree and flowers were so atmospheric and really made me feel festive, quite a task in the middle of September:-) The card was fabulous, simple, straightforward procedure but stunningly effective. I love the star swirl and will be investing in it soon. I haven't started buying my dies from the new festive collection because I've been trying to save for Ally Pally, but I have a feeling that most of my money will be spent on them at some point anyway:-)
Well, four days into my stay and I'm still able to communicate with you all...it was touch and go a few times when Yvonne thought it appropriate to exercise her "authority", but I managed to escape the Tower or cupboard under the stairs when I promised to let her have centre stage tomorrow....as if:-)
But fear not my dear Wilsonettes, I for one have no intention of ruining Sues moment to shine on Hochanda but the same can't be said for Yvonne who lacks the class and manners required for a public occasion....she has warned me that she may heckle and create a scene, pure attention seeking behaviour that only reinforces my assertion that she doesn't have the attributes necessary for a royal representative , unlike moi who has the class, poise and manners associated with the upper classes:-)
Going to AP tomorrow makes the endurance test of the past four days almost worthwhile. I am so excited to finally meet superstar Sue, my only fear is that she has believed the blatant character assassination attempted by Yvonne who is clearly trying to jockey for the position of Sues no.1 fan....she is, as we speak, making fudge, meringues and white chocolate brownies to seduce Sue with but her attempts to change Sues mind during a sugar induced coma are futile:-)
I'm having a quiet day because I've been told to get up at 6am which is a rather cruel form of torture that I should have been expecting, I don't believe I will be beating Pam on the blog though, she is definitely a star where that's concerned, besides I will be in a sleep deprived haze until at least midday I suspect:-(
Hope all our lovely ladies are enjoying their day at AP, I look forward to hopefully seeing the group photo at some point. Take care of our Sue, don't work her too hard because she'll need plenty of energy for tomorrow:-)

Mick has had a reasonable day now his confusion and hallucinating has gone he's alot better but some pain has come back but we're managing this
