Hi bloggers! Welcome back to the final blog post of the first day of the launch. Since we are still in the Indian Ocean, no collection would be complete without a visit to The Maldives, now would it?? This post is completely dedicated to the Maldives die set. This die set has a lovely linear feel to it, with pretty swirls as well as nice angles. Don't forget, all the inside die shapes can be used as mats and layers for each other as they are all graduated in size. Inside and outside cutting edges give you so much versatility for your card layouts too. Leave a comment on this post to ensure entry into this drawing and a shot at winning this set. I love how you make the "plain" dies so that they can be used as matts and layers or just for putting a backing of solid coloured card on to a intricate front die cut. Thank you flwoer for some lovely dies that can make up some different shaped cards.

ReplyDeleteFinal pit stop of the day and it doesn't disappoint...I really had decided not to buy this collection and invest in your other ranges but my resolve has been shattered, resistance is futile and I am destined to be a pauper....well, you can't take it with you can you now?
Fitting end to a fabulous day:-)
You may have been surprised to note, and rather relieved no doubt, that I haven't been my usual chatty self thus far....it isn't because words have failed me in the presence of such magnificent samples but because I've had a rather hectic day getting my nails done for my trip South and getting a little bit of shopping done in preparation also, I am now so tired that I need kabers not matchsticks to keep my eyes open:-)
My little princess, Darcey didn't help matters when just as I was settling down to sleep she started making funny playful noises and scratching, I put up with it for about two hours, getting up three times to see what the commotion was about only to eventually discover a spider what seemed like the size of my fist on my bedroom floor:-( she had apparently frozen it into submission so I grabbed a heavy shoe and battered it in a frenzy terrified that it would fight back. Tragedy averted I settled back down to sleep with Darceys displeasing stare burning a hole in the back of my head...why do they always want to play at 3 am?
Yvonne, normally if you had commented before 9 am I would admittedly still be dead to the world or struggling to awake from my slumber but not so this morning:-) I was dragged out of bed at the ungodly hour of 8am to get ready for my nail appointment so yes, I am feeling suitably smug at my achievement:-) Your new language is much too challenging for my sleep deprived brain to cope with though today but I feel that I must point out that in Scotland lug is the slang word for ear:-)
Debating over whether to leave my own little princess out in the rain tonight as I'm in desperate need of my beauty sleep....shut up Yvonne:-)....would it be considered abusive or just pure common sense I wonder?

Well Sue, what can I say.
ReplyDeleteOn seeing that there where lots of rectangular sets from my look ahead at the new release I thought that's ok I won't be so tempted as I mostly make square cards so I am concentrating on those dies.
But I love the combination of tear drops and straight lines and of course I know with cutting I can make them square so I really am tempted a lot!
I had a lovely little trip down the road on my mobility scooter to watch the cycling Tour of Britain come through. I set myself up and had my phone ready for photos. Took loads of the lead cars and motorbikes. But boy do those cyclists go fast. As I took one photo they came speeding past me so had to take one of their rear view lol. Thankfully there were loads more in the peloton so I carried on snapping. Got a pic of Mark Cavendish ( Bronze medallist at Rio), so I am well chuffed. Definitely going to scrapbook them.
Watched my recording of the race and I was very briefly on tv so if anyone wants my autograph let me know :)
Laine you sound very excited about your trip, you are going to have a great time. I fancy getting my nails done before I go away too

Another beautiful card using yet another lovely die set from this great new collection. Can I use any more adjectives.... sure, but I will keep it simple as I have a five hour drive up to Wales to do, leaving in ten minutes!!!
